What do you think they would do with him? Would he automatically be main event status, or just another Intercontinental type midcarder?

Also, would they give him some bullshit gimmick?

If AJ made it off Velocity, I'd be surprised.

Wait, did I say off? I meant on.

He'd be stuck in the cruserweight division. Which seems to be going through a period when it's actually on Smackdown but like always it'll eventually go back to Velocity.

They would likely bury him in his first match.

If he was on Raw they'd probably also change his name so people don't get confused between him and Joey Styles.

They would bury him for sure.

He and most other guys who were on TNA would get totally squashed.

The only guy who may do ok I think is Samoa Joe

They'd bury him like they did with Taz(z). It is a way of showing that any other product than WWE is inferior.

Now c'mon, I think they'd give Styles a little bit of exposure.

I'm fairly certain he would be a babyface on SmackDown!, and built-up as a former three-time World Champion. He'd work some matches with JBL, Finlay & Booker T before moving down to feud with Gregory Helms, probably win the Cruiserweight Title, then become the top figure in the CW Division.

Sarcasm?? WWE has let people way more talented than Styles fall through the cracks. Furthermore, outside of his in ring moves, AJ is really generic.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

We have a winner.

AJ would need a mouth peice, as his mic work is sub par at best

Yeah. A cruiserweight who isn't named Mysterio being touted as a former world (not even WWE or World Heavyweight) champion. That'll be the day.

Also, whoever mentioned his finisher, if you think that AJ would be able to do the Styles Clash you're crazy. It's much more dangerous than a Piledriver.

No it's not. Only thing you have to do is put your head back.

Piledriver is more dangerous then the clash.

Vince rarely pushes wrestlers that where made in other companies. See Booker-T, RVD, Rhino etc

And I do not think Vince will think highly of AJ's wrestling style so no I do think he will get pushed

Crash Holly used to do it for a while. Besides Kazarian (which was his fault), I've yet to see it go wrong.

It was definitely Kazarian's fault.^^^ But it's still pretty rofl.

Holy shit, didn't realise the Hurricane did the Vertebreaker in that match.

Yeah, without even looking at the vids, I'm willing to bet the Clash xero is talking about is when the guy tucked his head.

Oh. I really did think it was a Piledriver. I have seen the face crusher before but thought that was something else. :$

wwe would kill any heat AJ has and or had. look at every other nwa or wcw world champ that crossed over to wwf/e this is how its always been not just recently. Harley Race never won a title in the wwf/e, Ronnie Garvin yeah right, Dusty Rhodes uum no..in recent years the talent of wcw came on the scene and everyone shared the same fate. get a match with hhh. 1st match ends with no decision 2nd match hhh barely wins, with the help of a person or sledgehammer. 3rd match hhh wins easily and the former wcw champ leaves the company. insert nash, goldberg(who actually beat hhh),Big Papa Pump and Booker T who was great until they handed his belt to hhh and forced him into mid-card forever. thats not including any ecw talent either. So, AJ is smart to stay where he is appreciated.

Man, that AJ/Hurricane match is probably one of the better WWE matches in recent years yet it gets very little attention paid to it by Kevin Kelly and the other commentator.

Says everything I suppose about how the WWE has always treated its 'recap' programmes.

Were you by any chance thinking of Kid Kash's old finisher - a double underhook piledriver? Just might have been that.

No, I thought the botched Styles Clash was an actual move, I thought he just went too far under AJ's legs...

Mr. Nerfect
02-28-2006, 05:03 PM
I really think they should remove the recap segments from Heat & Velocity. It would greatly improve their mid-card. If people want to see what happened on RAW & SmackDown!, they can check the website (where a lot of them would be anyway).

The cruiserweights could work 15:00 matches, tag teams would get a chance to develop, the talent would look slightly more credible, especially if they got attention from the commentators, etc.
