View Full Version : Interesting bit in this weeks Observer - big name debuting at Destination X?
And not Scott Steiner...
"If everything works out, one of the biggest stars in the world will debut on that PPV (Destination X) which will build for him returning for the X World Cup."
Quote The Meltz.
A massive X Division star debuting...let the speculation begin.

No way...I mean he will come back but this isn't him.
Maybe Low-Ki... don't know if he is considered a major interantional star though.
I wouldn't consider Low-Ki one of the biggest stars in the world.
Maybe Liger?

The hundreds and hundreds of fans at the impact zone will be chanting the champs name at DX....JUVI...JUVI...JUVI!!!
LOL
There's a story in the Observer about Juvi phoning Christian out of the blue recently, and, despite only being working acquintances in WWE, and not phoning or talking to him since Christian left. In the phone call, Juvi was acting like he was Christian's best friend, saying he misses talking to him, and acting like they were running buddies. Suddenly, Juvi says "Can you get me in TNA?" The funny part being if he just asked, he'd have had a better chance at getting in rather than taking the approach he did...
Ah Juvi...

Well, seeing as how TNA is hell bent on convincing us that all their Titles are the most prestigious and sought after in the industry.....I suppose they'd take the same delusional approach with Low-Ki.

from ultimatewarrior.com:
"What would be more interesting is if the TNA execs had the creativity, integrity and balls to entertain it seriously. Frankly, what they should do, if they want to be competitive (there's that nasty blood, sweat and tears word again), is sell some of those construction materials Daddy Jarrett has laying around, and put up the financing to bring in Goldberg and Ultimate Warrior and let us try to beat the intensity out of one another. Now there's an idea -- an attention getting one, and a money making one. I mean, instead of always using "warrior" as the adjective to fallaciously describe all those who aren't -- bring a real, and Ultimate, one in. Let the hardcore, natural intensity rip. Let both of us take our mischaracterized heads halfway out of our asses, just enough for us to be businessmen capable of discussing the serious potential success yet not enough to defuse a competitive grudge, and let the serious and creative thinkers at TNA, those without an agenda or envy problem, work out a program. Put your silly ass fear and prejudice for my strong, bold character away and think SUCCESS. Hell, I'm all for great ideas. But don't expect me to keep my mouth shut when you don't come up with any. Of course, as I hinted at, it won't be inexpensive. Goldberg has an agent and has to give him a cut. I'm my own and I charge even more. The bigger obstacle, and definitely the one that has us both the most hated in the industry, is that we are strong individualists who don't need, or even necessarily want, to be in the business and can get along having great lives without it. But, what a way it would be for the most envied and despised to shove the final word down the throats of those Nor'Easterners, while TNA capitalizes off the incredible heat of it all"
goldberg/warrior? It is a good pipe dream but it would flop like goldberg/lestner. without someone with a brain calling the match we know the outcome.
I wish it was Jack Evans or Jimmy Yang, but neither of these men are ever close to being considered as major international stars. Still, they'd be amazing assets to the X-Division.
I hope it's Ultimo Dragon. We never got to see his ability in WWE - not a single good match - and it's a definite that TNA would allow him to use his full potential. Liger was slow in his match with Samoa Joe at Bound For Glory, and frankly, I'd rather he didn't come into the company, especially not with all that hype.
Juvi should return to TNA. I don't know why. He just should.

Sadly I dont see Jenetty being as an x-division star....althought perhaps this could be the reason why WWE posted on their website that they have dropped all communication with him...

Yes, because if TNA promises something, then they DON'T deliver, EVERYONE will order their shows from that point on. Moron.
I accidentally gave you positive rep. Doesn't matter, though, because your other stupid comments have gotten you more than enough negativity to drown out anything positive.
Anyway, I hope it is Jericho. If he's back in town for a day, I see no reason why he can't just call in and do his buddy Christian a favour.

Not sure on the rules, since they were partway into it when the FSN show started last year. I know it's a bunch of international teams that compete in a series of matches for a trophy.
I would guess Jericho won't be in that though because, contrary to what WWE wants us to believe, he's Canadian, and TNA already has a Team Canada. And I doubt they'd make Jericho a heel, since his initial pop would be so huge anyway.

It would be very hard to sell Jericho as from Manhasset. Phenomenally.

If it's Jericho, I'll do nothing because I'll be sleeping at that time of the morning in England.
Basically, the way it apparently will go is that it will team's doing a point system style league over the course of several Impact shows, culminating at the May PPV.
TNA hasn't actually advertised that "one of the bigger stars in the world"...for the record.

Well seeing as team TNA is being called Team TNA this time and not Team USA or anything I dont see why Jericho couldnt join team TNA.
That being said I dont see it happening so it is rather a moot point.
