You take retired sports stars and put them up against regular guys. Should be good for a laugh. You know, as an athlete, they have nothing to gain and everything to loose if they get beat by these guys. I hope Bo Jackson still has 'it'. Cause he's on the show and he's like a god to me.
Anyone else looking forward to this show?
It's on starting tomorrow on Spike TV.

If all the Joes are dicks who think they are the shit but got screwed over by their high school coach or something then this will be the greatest show ever.

The way on the commercial some of them are trash talking the pros, it should be great when they get pwn'd.

The Jerry Rice segment was hilarious.

I seriously don't understand how any of the joes could think for a second that they have the slightest shot in the world. Not even a fluke would give them a chance.

I have a feeling we will see some upsets. I'm pretty sure of it. Not too many though.

Okay no offense hero, but come on...like think about it, while these fucking pansies are plumbing, doing taxes, teaching, abeing ceos are whatever the fuck it is they do for a living...the athletes job is playing sport and being a pro athlete. They are genetically manufactered to make mince meat out of all those fucking morons, it is pretty much an impossibility for them to lose.

I dunno Hero if most Pro Bowlers can't cover Jerry Rice I dunno how they expect someone who isn't in peak condition to cover him.
The Romanowski one should be brutal

I'm pretty sure a pro athlete could beat an average person with one leg, and one arm.

They are retired though Dale. Obviously in their prime they would dominate but why have the show unless at least one of the "Joes" wins.
It's not like Bo Jackson sits at home and trains. He might still work out once in a while but he is not in pro form.

All those guys could still play semi-pro and probably still dominate guaranteed. They would run every single joe, doesn't matter who they are. If they dont, it is fixed.

fixed?! - what would a pro athlete have to gain by being showed up by some nobody.

Jerry Rice will own anyone up against him. He was in NFL training camp this year. Bo Jackson could be a different story. I dunno how hard he is been training or anything, plus he has a history of injuries. He hasn't played in the NFL for years.

For those of you worried about Bo, his competition is a home run derby.
Also on the Spike website they have an episode list and the last episode description says "Three past winners return to compete..." so I'm guessing somebody beats a pro.

It's a test of skill vs fitness. They had a show like this here in the UK for soccer. But soccer vs football in terms of physical demand? Well, you can figure that one out. This wil be a totally different prospect.

lol John Rocker was on to promote this show on Coldpizza on ESPN2 and he walked out of the studio before he even go on the air because they said they were going to bring up the New York City comments that he made a few years ago.

Rice just schooled the first guy completely. I'd love to be on this show, but not to be a jerk who thinks he can out shine these guys, I'd be in awe, especially somone like Rice that's barely out of the Pros and is in awesome shape.

So the show's concept was a little different than what I expected. They don't so much take on the pros, they compete against 2 other opponents. The pros basically set the standard to beat and then these guys try to get as close to that time as possible, or score that amount of points, or whatever. It was ok, not as good as I thought it was going to be, but lets face it, it's not like Joes, especially small dudes like they had on tonight, stood much chance.

I was very disappointed. Like for a lot of the events the pros had no point in even being there. Like why did it matter how many points Rodman scored or how fast McMahon threw the ball through the targets? It's really just Joes vs Joes.

Pro's are there primarily for ratings I would wager, as I'm sure most of you did as well.

The only cool one was the Jerry Rice one. Just to see how fast a pro can cut back, it's crazy.

Funny thing is he's a real shitty golfer. I've seen him on some celebrity golf stuff before and he's awful.

For being an average NFL player Goldberg sure did talk a lot of shit. Granted being an average NFL player is pretty damn good but still. All the guys on the show with him made it by playing real sports, not professional wrestling.
