“Star Wars: The Series” doesn’t start shooting until 2008, and no one knows who will air it, but producer Rick McCallum told the BBC News it will run a minimum of 100 episodes. That’s a lot of episodes. It took “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” for example, five seasons to reach 100 installments.
McCallum “added that it was unlikely any of the stars of the movies would be involved in the TV series,” according to the Beeb.

Have to wonder though if it's going to be at least 100 episodes because they have a kickass story that they know can hold out that longor if it's going to be at least 100 episodes just because it's Star Wars.

I rather more movies expanding the universe of the post-empire era or the Old Republic era. I'm uninterested in the period between III and IV. Seems like they're making up for Ep.III's short comings.
In any case, it's nice that Boba Fett's getting his own TV show...

FUCK YOU FOR SHITTING ON STAR WARS.
I'm one the bigger Star Wars fans on here, dumbass. But I rather not pretend everything Lucas conjures up is a great idea. I can run Star Wars better than him at this point. It's a universe with the potential to tell hundreds of different stories and he's hung up on showing us teenage Boba Fett (however cool he is).
The comics and video games are taking more dynamic approaches to Star Wars that desearve to be presented on the big or little screen.
And fuck you, too BTW.

the latter
The series will be set between episodes three and four of the film saga.
It would cover the 20 years in the life of Luke Skywalker growing up that remains a mystery to most film-goers.
That means no jedi action. Shit. That just totally killed all my interest.
What are we gonna see? A fourteen year old Luke Skywalker learning the intricacies of his first masturbatory experience? Dealing with the peer pressures of death sticks and cantina juice? Who gives a shit.

I would kinda like seeing a series set after Return of the Jedi. I know the books have covered it but a new story with information from both series would be awesome

You forgot the part where he fucks a Bantha on a bet, and takes a Tusken Raider to prom.
Knowing Lucas, he'll probably rewrite it so it's similar to Smallville or some shit.
But really, I can sum up his life prior to the droids showing up in about five minutes.

He can speak for himself.
EDIT:
And it sure as shit wasn't worth a bad rep. But I'll let it go.

Guy, God, Demi-God; pick whichever.
You forgot the part where he fucks a Bantha on a bet, and takes a Tusken Raider to prom.
(Luke awkwardly positions himself behind a Bantha.)
BIGGS: Ohmigod is he going to do it? He's going to do it!
DACK: He's crazy! You're crazy, Luke!
LUKE: I can't.... ngh... I can't get it in!
BIGGS: Use more force!

Ok, why would a series about Luke growing up hold any interest? He didn't know anything until the droids showed up
