View Full Version : Royal Rumble scenarios that you would like to/wanted to see?
What are/were some Royal Rumble match scenarios that you would have/would like to see?
I was thinking the other day that, if Lesnar were to ever return, he should return at the Rumble. Have him be number 30. Four or five guys are in the ring including the Big Show. The #30 mystery man is Lesnar.
He comes out and F5s everyone out of the ring but Show. They have a go at it, and Lesnar sets Show up on the turnbuckle. He hits superplex, and once again, the ring collapses. They can take it anywhere after that, but I think that, or even just the ring collapsing at the end would be something interesting and fresh to do.
Also, I always wanted to see Zach Gowen in a Rumble, just to see how they would handle his elimination.

I don't think they could do the Ring Collapse spot in the rumble... With the chance of it possibly collapsing before it should and fucking up the whole PPV, although the idea is pretty damn cool

Any big star that has a return at the Rumble shouldn't be advertised. I know it increses buy rates and fans interest when people see an old favourite return. But I think there would be so many more mark out monents in the Rumble if returns were kept as suprises IMO

Now hold on a minute.
They did a ring collapse at this years Rumble. The ring remained intact throughout the night, even through the Rumble match, so I think the stunt would be possible

Yeah, it lasted the whole of Smackdown when they done that spot the first time.
Speaking of ring breaks, has the ring ever broken unscripted? I only know of the one in ECW when the crowd piled and and started jumping on it, and at No Mercy a couple of years back when Jericho went for a springboard dropkick, the second rope went at the turnbuckle and Jericho landed on his face.
The ropes have fallen/loosened many times, but I don't know of any actual collapses.

I remember the ropes breaking on Yokozuna at least once.

I remember Vader breaking Yokozuna's leg, and he had to be carried off backstage on a forklift truck :D

I think i'd be funny to see someone come in at number 1, eliminate number 2, then 3, so on and so forth all the way to 30 and then get eliminated himself by some jobber.

I've always wanted to see the whole "guy gets knocked over, lands on one foot, hops around, and rolls back into the ring" thing.
Or have a guy who ducks under the bottom rope and joins the announcers for the rest of the rumble, only to sneak back in at the end. That'd be hilarious, although if he won, it'd kind of hurt the credibility.

I liked when Lawler got out of the rumble and hid under the ring, i was still young at the time, and was kinda unaware about wrestling, so it made perfect sense to me that someone would do that.

Me too. Theoretically he can't be eliminated, as he has only one leg - the rules state that to be eliminated, you must be sent over the top rope, and both feet must touch the floor.

I figure they would force him to wear his prosthetic. I could see them doing a storyline where he's elimiated, but his leg falls off and falls through the ropes. So he gets a title shot at a RAW and is obviously squashed, because who wants a cripple as a champion? :shifty:

they could def do that with the final 2 or 3. Would be sweet way for a heel to win it.

Have all 30 wrestlers enter with no one eliminated.

This year's rumble was one I wanted to see. Rey Mysterio winning was one of the best rumble moments.

No way, it was far too predictable

Yeah, you've completely missed the point of this thread.

they might count Gowen landing on one foot as an elimination because 2 feet=normal for everyone else 1=normal for Gowen.. they might not give Gowen a handicap simply because he's handicapped...:shifty:
just a thought.. not really what i think would happen

Taz and Bam Bam Bigelow went trough the ring at some ECW PPV. That wasn't scripted.

I'm pretty sure it was. The way they went through it was just too perfect. Plus there were no visible plywood from the floor's ring. They probably had someone under the ring remove the wood from that area and they just broke through the canvas (as they do with most ring breaks that are actually holes).

They did it twice. The first time it wasn't planned. I am 100% sure on this.
The second time they went through the ramp, not the ring. (I think)
