In my opinion, the first step would be to make one single roster... They could save up money and get rid of some of the useless guys... This would also open up the opportunity to work with All Japan or New Japan talent for matches like Jushin Liger vs. Kurt Angle...

This would be my one elite WWE roster:

Main event faces:
The UnderTaker
Kurt Angle
Batista
Chris Benoit
Lashley
Shelton Benjamin (he's a more original guy to push than RVD at this point)

Main event heels:
Triple H
Shawn Michaels
John Cena
Randy Orton
Edge
JBL

Midcard (IC title) faces:
Kane (also tag division)
Big Show (also tag division)
Rob Van Dam
Rey Mysterio
Mr. Kennedy
Carlito
Paul Birchill
Charlie Haas
CM Punk

Midcard (IC title) heels:
Booker T
Finlay
William Regal
Doug Basham
Damaja (Danny Basham)
Chris Masters
Matt Striker
Chuck Palumbo
Test

Back-up talent:
Ric Flair - keep the legend around either way, but reduce his in-ring work
Hardcore Holly - not bad to put over young talent, will prob be kept as agent
Val Venis - solid worker, you have to keep him around
Goldust - solid worker, entertaining guy to have around to put people over
Road Warrior Animal - legend deserves the occasional showing

Tag-team division:
Team X-Treme -> Matt Hardy & Shannon Moore
FBI -> Nunzio & Vito, perhaps hire Stamboli, Stamboli + Vito = :y:
Kane & Big Show
MNM
Shane Twins/Gymini
Sprit Squad -> probably release Mitchell down the road though
3 Minute Warning
bWo (Nova/Richards) - or else release both guys
Cade & Murdoch - I don't mind the team, keep them together or release both
Conway & Dinsmore - make it work like it used to or release both guys
+ cruiserweight teams (London/Kendrick, Crazy/Psicosis, Noble/Kash)

Cruiserweight division:
Chavo Guerrero
Gregory Helms
Shannon Moore
Nunzio
Kid Kash
Jamie Noble
Super Crazy
Psicosis
Paul London
Brian Kendrick
Sonny Siaki
The Miz
+ bring in recognizable japanese talent to put talent over, have unique stuff once in a while

Women (keep it occasional and it's not bad):
Trish
Victoria
Mickie
Torrie
Candice
Maria
Sharmell (manager)
Melina (manager)

RELEASE
(or in some cases, send to OVW until something else can be worked out):
Mark Henry - release
Viscera - release
Orlando Jordan - send to OVW
Palmer Cannon - doesn't matter, just get him off TV unless he will wrestle
Scotty 2 Hotty - release
Funaki - release
Daivari - release
Boogeyman - release
Mitchell - send to OVW
Tomko - send to OVW
Snitsky - release
Johnny Parisi - release
Rene Dupree - release
Sylvan - release
Tatanka - release
Kristal - release
Stacy - release
Ashley - release
Jillian - release

BOOKERS:
Head booker: Paul Heyman (let him book interesting feuds)
Cruiserweight division booker: Eric Bischoff

In this process, you have a very solid roster and with all this extra money, great acquisitions can be made...

People I would gladly add to my roster that aren't working for TNA:

Bret Hart (bringing him back as a GM or something would be mark out for many)
Randy Savage (similarly, we have to see one more Savage run in WWE)
Brock Lesnar
Matt Morgan (was a solid big guy with potential)
Tajiri (definitely bring this guy back)
Masato Tanaka
Steve Corino
Perry Saturn or Justin Credible, if they can still go
Frankie Kazarian, Akio and Juventud (all solid guys that left so quickly)
Sean O'Haire (always exciting, bring him back to tag with Palumbo)
Johnny Stamboli (always was a solid worker, a team with Vito would be good)

Then guys like Low Ki, Brian Danielson, Jay and Jack Briscoe, Teddy Hart, Xavier and Doug Williams can obviously be solid additions...

And to work out a deal with a major japanese wrestling promotion would definitely open up many opportunities getting guys like Ultimo Dragon, Taka Michinoku, Dick Togo, Hector Garza, Kenta Kobashi, Mike Modest, Donavan Morgan, Jushin Liger, Scott Norton, Kaz Hayashi and Mitshuharu Misawa involved in matches against WWE superstars...

By leaving an elite WWE roster, fans will be able to tune in all the time to see whoever they want to see... No lame wrestlers at all... The least talented on the roster (aside from some of the tag-teams in which there's exceptions) would probably be the Big Show or something... This ensures solid action all the time...

I would push Kurt Angle as the top guy in the company and I would definitely keep guys like Batista and Lashley looking strong... HHH, HBK and Taker are the recognizable legends of the WWE and they should primarily be putting over talent with occasional main event PPV matches like Taker-Angle at No Way Out... Keep Benoit involved... Push Shelton hard... And you'll have everything you need...

That is how I would go about making changes in WWE if I had any say...

Fuck hiring anyone new, or anything like that. WWE could have a good roster if they could only just work with what they have.

Whatever the fuck they do, they need to build Orton back up as a heel. He's still a heel, but a pussy heel no-one cares about. Make Cena a heel, or at least an anti-face sort of deal. Stop hiring people because they were once in WWE. Make Kane and Shwo monsters again...Monsters worth feuding with HHH and the new John Cena. Fucking have Taker put someone over. Push a few people up the card, give folks like Finlay the occasional title shot, even if they never hold the strap. Push Benoit above midcard. Drop the comedy shit. Am I missing anything?

-push Flair as a viagra popping, womanizing, liver and onion eating son....of a gun

-Hire back Juvi and give him his own freakin talk show

-Make SD! live

-The Rock as General Manager of SD! for a few months (to give SD! ratings)

-Hire Kane Knight as writer

-Turn Cena heel, or badass face

-Give RVD the stoner gimmick

Here is the current scheduled card for the actual Backlash PPV:

-John Cena vs. Triple H for the WWE Championship
-Shelton Benjamin vs. Rob Van Dam for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
-Kane & Big Show vs. Carlito & Chris Masters for the World Tag Team Championship

Here is how I would place those eight men and three Championships into Backlash's timeslot:

-Edge vs. Rob Van Dam for the WWE Championship
-John Cena vs. Triple H in a Street Fight
-Kane vs. Big Show
-Shelton Benjamin vs. Charlie Haas w/Ric Flair for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
-Carlito & Aaron Aguilera vs. Chris Masters & Brent Albright to decide new World Tag Team Champions

There is going ot be an influx of new talent, so putting them into scenarios of interest is important. I've turned three matches into five, each with a story, save for the main event, which would likely be all about the Championship. The WWE's card consists of WrestleMania rematches. Why? Stories can continue, but a card consisting of WM rematches is stupid. Only one of my given matches is a repeat of WrestleMania, and it has moved down the card due to it being a rematch.

This doesn't seem like it has much to do with changing the WWE, but in my opinion it does. Programs in the WWE are too drawn out and by the numbers. Programs don't develop and evolve, and matches are done over and over and over again.

WrestleMania is a time when casual fans check in on the WWE again, so the idea is to draw them in with matches and storylines that make it seem like they will get something new each week.

Assuming that Backlash has eight matches taking place, which is probably more than it will have, two of those matches I have already seen, and unless they were all-time classics, I don't really think I would pay for them again.

Using time effeciently is a fault of the WWE, and they need to start working out that each moment is one that can contribute to a great show, so having something interesting and/or different happen is important.

Go three months with no story lines, just scripted wins based on audience reactions during matches. Take the 'live surveys' and build from there.

Done. I just saved the WWE.
