Two new diva matches have been added to the WWE WrestleMania card:

Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James

"Playboy Pillow Fight”
Torrie Wilson vs. Candice Michelle

I can see the Trish/Mickie match for the title, but why make us sit through a pillow fight. Dumb Just Dumb.

Just card padding (no pun intended).

But Mickie/Trish will at least be a legit women's match. It's a hell of a lot better than Candice/Trish...

Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James is fine. Torrie Wilson vs. Candice Michelle in a "Playboy Pillow Fight" will make me not want to order the event. Seriously. I actually think they'll have Victoria announced as Torrie's opponent, just because it makes more sense at the moment. Even that will be crap.

If Paul London & Brian Kendrick do not get on this event, and the useless Divas do, I will not order WrestleMania. I am sick of this shit.

Unless Torrie and Candace swerve everyone and wind up producing solid softcore porn live on PPV, I'm gonna agree with Inno and say that's our official piss break.

And if they do... then we'll have another reason to visit the john. :naughty:

This is where I would usually go on about how I hope Val Venis is the Special Guets Referee, and how I hope this allows him to become a serious character, and how every cloud has silver lining. I get the feeling this is going to be pure shit, though. Why are these talentless women on WRESTLEMania? Couldn't they hype some kind of Slutfest for the following RAW?

Forgive me if I'm repeating something that's been said here before (I have been out of town for a week, after all), but...

This year's Mania card is really RAW heavy. Cena/HHH, HBK/Vince, Torrie/Candice, Trish/Mickie, Foley/Edge, and the Tag Title match are all RAW-exclusive matches. Plus they have half of the MITB field. SD only has Angle/Rey/Orton, Benoit/JBL, Boogey/Booker, and UT/Henry. Six RAW to only four SD matches. Do they really think we'd rather watch a pillow fight than some kind of cruiserweight match? Or MNM defending the Tag Titles against...anyone? What about Bobby Lashley?

I just noticed this as well, and was going to make a post about it, but you beat me to it. :y:

We have six RAW matches, four SmackDown! and one Interpromotional. I think SmackDown! should make two more matches for the card. Sure, that takes us up to 13 matches, but when you have Candice Michelle vs. Torrie Wilson and The Boogeyman vs. Booker T, both of which will probably be short, you can probably squeeze some room in.

One of those two SmackDown! matches should be for the WWE Tag Team Championship. MNM vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick would be nice. You can possibly add The Mexicools and Jamie Noble & Kid Kash in there as well.

The other match I would throw in there would be Paul Burchill vs. William Regal. Have some kind of "Loser Changes Gimmick" Match. If Burchill wins, William Regal must become a pirate. If Regal wins, Burchill must stop acting like a pirate. Burchill wins, which means William Regal is now a pirate. Burchill then gets the microphone and says that being a pirate was all well and good, but Burchill thinks he's through with it now. Burchill can say he challenged Regal to the match, just because he wanted to embarass him. So Burchill is now a babyface serious wrestler, while Regal is a heel pirate.

Bobby Lashley wins the Last Chance Battle Royal and fills the last spot, that way he can continue his feud with Finlay at WrestleMania. Lashley should probably be in a standard match, but his only story has been with Finlay.

So at WrestleMania we get:

RAW:
-John Cena vs. Triple H for the WWE Championship
-Edge vs. Cactus Jack in a Hardcore Match
-Vince McMahon vs. Shawn Michaels in a No Holds Barred Match
-Kane & Big Show vs. Carlito & Chris Masters
-Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James for the WWE Women's Championship
-Torrie Wilson vs. Candice Michelle in a Playboy Pillow Fight

Interpromotional Money in the Bank Ladder Match
-Rob Van Dam vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Ric Flair vs. Finlay vs. Matt Hardy vs. Bobby Lashley

SmackDown!
-Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Championship
-Chris Benoit vs. JBL for the WWE United States Championship
-The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry in a Casket Match
-Booker T vs. The Boogeyman
-Paul Burchill vs. William Regal
-MNM vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. The Mexicools vs. Jamie Noble & Kid Kash

The WWE Tag Team Championship Match gets around 20:00. It seems like a lot, but with so many teams, each capable of having a main event quality tag team match, I think this match should go for a while. It would also create interest towards the titles, and would allow all the teams to look great. It would also place emphasis on how sudden death matches can be harder to win than elimination matches.

Paul Burchill and William Regal are given around 10:00 to work a match between themselves. This is the blow-off to their feud, so a longer match would be good.

Booker T vs. The Boogeyman is quick. DQ finishes at WrestleMania are not traditionally good, but here I think it is the best way to go. Have Booker T hit Boogeyman with a steel chair, giving Boogeyman the WrestleMania win, but having Booker T look strong as well. It fits in with both characters, as well. You don't need to dedicate anything over 5:00 to this segment to make it effective.

The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry is a major attraction of WrestleMania, but I think it should be merciless. The fans are there to see Taker's entrance, and to see him win. You don't need much more than that. The Undertaker & Mark Henry work a 10:00 match, at the most, with MNM getting involved, Daivari getting involved, etc.

Chris Benoit vs. JBL is given around 15:00.

The World Heavyweight Championship Match is given around the same length as Triple H vs. Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels from WrestleMania XX. This was around 25:00, I believe.

Torrie Wilson vs. Candice Michelle should be a segment used to get some other guy over. Val Venis, Danny Basham, Matt Striker, etc. Whole thing takes nothing more than 5:00.

Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James is given 10:00 or so.

Kane & Big Show vs. Carlito & Chris Masters also goes 10:00.

Most of Vince's WrestleMania matches are longer rather than shorter. This will probably be around the 20:00 mark, with The Spirit Squad taking it through spells where Vince McMahon takes a break.

Edge vs. Cactus Jack also gets 20:00, although I think all they need is 15:00. Sure, it seems a crime to give Vince/Shawn longer, but McMahon/Michaels will have interference gallore. This match will simply be two men going at it.

John Cena vs. Triple H either gets 15:00 or 20:00. I'm reluctant to give it 15:00, as this is a WWE Title Match, but the fans may shit all over this. I'd actually put this match on first at WrestleMania to get it over and done with, and give the crowd a main event early (much like they did at Saturday Night's Main Event).

The Money in the Bank Ladder Match probably needs more time to tell a story this time around. Last year it got 15:00, this year I'd give it 20:00. You'd have more methodical workers in this match (Flair, Finlay & Lashley). A lot of time should be dedicated to them working over their opponents, making it harder for them to climb.

So all up, that gives us around 3:05:00 of match length. WrestleMania is 4 hours isn't it? This leaves us good time for a Batista promo, a segment dedicated to Eddie Guerrero, some backstage shenanigans (not too much, maybe something from Ken Kennedy and Eugene, that's it) and a Hall of Fame re-visiting segment.
