View Full Version : Two more Hall of Fame Inductees (Not sure if this is a SPOILER)

WWE has announced that William "The Refrigerator" Perry is being inducted into the Celebrity Wing of the Hall Of Fame on April 1. It makes sense since the bulk of Perry's NFL career (pun intended) took place in Chicago for the Bears. Perry was one of the NFL players to compete in the NFL/WWF Battle Royal at WrestleMania 2 at the Rosemont Horizon.

WWE has also confirmed what we have been reporting for weeks now. Tony Atlas will be inducted to the Hall Of Fame as well.

Cause Road Warrior Joe is still on the active roster... same reason Flair isn't in I suppose

They still use Hogan though.

And they should stick Flair and "Buffet" in now and retire both of them anyway.

Hogan was technically not on the roster when he was inducted.

What the hell @ the selection but it's about time someone else was put in there. Some others should have been put in there before him though.

If you watch the Greatest Wrestling Stars of the 80's DVD. He says it there.

Something about him thinking his tougher than all the other wrestlers or something, I can't fully remembernow.

They do something noble by inducting Eddie.
They do something respectable by inducting Gagne.
They do something the fans wanted by inducting Bret.

...then they induct the fridge?
hmmmm, did they lose their list of the possible candidates?

Why the fuck are they inducting 43 wrestlers every year? They should only be inducting 3-5 per year to make it more special.

To be honest, they shouldnt even have anybody else, and should just fucking praise the Hitman. He deserves this special merit and consideration. He is too far above them all. Too far.

Bret is carrying this HOF. Just as he's always done things.

Yeah...way to go Bret...carrying WWE through it's lowest rating period. And yeah, Hart is TOTALLY to far above Eddie Guerrero to have him be inducted as well.

Look I love Bret Hart as much as the next guy, but he isn't a god. He is a very fine performer who (for whatever reason) couldn't connect with the average wrestling fan.

Ratings were down due to the state of pro wrestling in 1993 to about late 95...nothing Bret could do on his own.

One man does not make a company, unless you are Hogan, and yet he even had help from great characters in Piper etc..what did Bret have? He had to wrestle Isaac Yankem and Pierre Lafitte..who could make anything with those guys at the time work?

But if you take a look at Bret, easily one of the MOST popular performers worldwide. Bret was gold for the company overseas and beyond, and wasnt solely their top draw in the US.

As stated previously, Bret is the man. Eddie hell, should have been inducted along with his own peers years later.

Shawn Michaels, Davey Boy Smith, Owen Hart, Razor Ramon, Mr. Perfect, The Undertaker...yeah you're right, Bret Hart was the only thing worth seeing in the mid 90's.

Canada...not overseas.

I have to face the fact that Billy Gunn is a peice of shit in the eyes of most, and you have to accept that Bret Hart is NOT as great as Hart Marks think.

Well then how is it that it was Diesel who had the worst ever buy rates and ratings for a world champ, and he held that title for about a year, and HBk held that title for about 8 months in 1996, yet it is Bret that takes credit for the poor business of the mid 90's.?

Splain Lucy.

Bret was a HUGE draw Overseas (Europe, Asia etc) That's been a proven fact for the longest time. How are we still disputing that? So many people inside the industry have said this already.
