No one can. Steve Borden looks like a over the hill suffer.

As if.
He looks like he aspires to be an over-the-hill-surfer.

Honestly, even if he was just a regular average person with no fame and a regular job he would look more normal wearing the face paint than he would without it.

Copy and paste the link, bro.
Also, are there any pics of him sans paint? He must have a pretty weird face due to that huge forehead and kinda sunken in eyes.

He cut a pretty awesome promo on Impact though.

Tonights promo? Are you shitting me? One month ago the big selling point and draw to the PPV was "Tell him Sting isn't coming to the PPV, tell him Steve Borden is!" now one month later the big selling point is "Tell him Steve Borden isn't coming to the PPV, tell him Sting is!"
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING WITH LOGIC TNA? God you fuck logic in the ass more often then HHH catches McMahon's jizz in his mouth.

They were trying so hard to swerve everyone that they swerved themselves and now aren't quite sure what exactly they're doing.
Oh wait, that shouldn't be used in the present tense because that's been going on for a couple of years now.

Think he means "BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH"
At least that's how I'd interpret it.

Part of me thinks they're just trying to change Sting's imagine so they don't seem like they're taking a gimmick from WCW.
If they do want to make him different, why not jsut give him black & gold paint or something?
His facial expression without the paint must be scary while he wrestles. He looks like shit without it. Has he ever wrestled before without the paint?
Everytime i've seen him without that face paint, I think about how Matt Damon calls himself Matt Damon in the Team America movie. Accept replace Matt Damon with Steve Borden.

I'm too lazy to dig up pictures, but he looks like an "if they mated" of the Fonz (Henry Winkler) and Gary Busey.

After his speech last night, I'd have to say that they simply stole Cactus JAck's return from WWE instead. This whole angle cmacks of Foley's speech after Teh H beat him to a pulp and he "dug down deep" and rediscovered himself.Besides, they're not doing it to change Sting's image, they're doing it to build up the drama of his return. The only reason they had Borden return was so JArrett could harrass him.

I'm pretty certain that he and Warrior both wrestled without paint in their EARLIEST days. I seem to remember that Jerry Lawler in an interview took credit for taking each aside and telling them since they were having trouble getting into character that they ought to try the paint as a way to reach inside themselves.

Uh... how does that angle "defy logic"? Maybe you just aren't applying logic.
Sting came back to Final Resolution, won his tag team match with Christian, then retired the next Saturday on Impact.
Alex Shelley and Jeff Jarrett spied on Steve Borden's family to make sure he was truly done with wrestling. Borden got pissed, and said he would come to Destination X and beat the hell out of them for it.
He did, but Scott Steiner showed up and kicked his ass. Now, Steve Borden isn't coming to take them out, Sting is going to come and take them out. I.E. he's coming out of retirement for revenge against Steiner and Jarrett.
What doesn't make sense about that?

To me, it seemed to me like when he said he was coming back as Steve Borden, he was coming for a fucking fight. Now that he's out of retirement, he's coming back as Sting and going to put them through hell in the ring. Of course, that's the way it seems to me. They could always be more direct about these things.

Aside from the whole Angle?
Your attempts to justify it, for one.
Sting is worse than Terry Funk. He at least waits a few months before returning...

This isn't anything new either. I have a WCW VHS called Sting Unmasked and he's talking in it as himself, Steve Borden, without the face paint. He just looked so weird. I think a lot of it has to do with his weird eyebrows. I'm thinking his beige skin might have something to do with it too.
It's a pretty good VHS considering it's only an hour long.
The awesome thing about that VHS is that they started making it right after he joined the Wolfpac. The Wolfpac summer is probably my all time favorite... uh... time in wrestling. It just seemed like practically everything everyone and every company did was just so awesome.

I picked tha up back in the day. I had to throw it out because my VCR ate it HARDCORE. I mean, it shorted out as it was munching and somehow fried parts of the tape.

i would call that Divine Intervention.
i'd rather listen to Don West's Hardcore Gangsta Rap album,
then look at Steve Borden.
