View Full Version : Sean O'Haire back to the WWE?

According to the Wrestling Observer, Sean O'Haire is going to get a similiar deal to Test and Chuck Palumbo, and work a dark match prior to RAW.
I hope this means he's on his way back. Especially if they keep him with his old "Devil's Advocate" gimmick. "I'm not telling you anything you don't already know," was the best catchphrase of all-time (hyperbole).
For some reason, I really hope they let him use Christian's old Waterproof Blonde theme. It would really suit him, in my opinion. His character seems like the guy who would steal someone's entrance music.
If O'Haire is allowed to use his talent (Ha!), this could be a great signing for the WWE. So what would you do with him? RAW or SmackDown!? Part of a stable with Chuck Palumbo & Mark Jindrak? Part of a stable with Paul London & Brian Kendrick? Part of a new stable? Any ideas?

I'm not even a Sean O'Haire mark, but I would piss myself if O'Haire ran out in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and took the contract then got on the mic and said to the guys in the match "Just to clarify, the MITB contract is open to whoever can grab it. But hey, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know."

Gotta be Smackdown.
I'm a big fan of Sean O'Haire, good to see him back.

Sean O'Haire can definitely be a main event player IMO

O'Haire has it all. He's young, he's good on the mic, he's good in the ring, he has a fantastic look, and he has a gimmick that has pretty much limitless storyline opportunities.
It still blows my mind that WWE failed so spectacularly with him the first time around. How could they have thought that pairing him with Roddy Piper would possibly get him over?

But the WWE is desperate these days. Someone that has the tools O'Haire has is bound to not get shit dumped all over him. Isn't he.....:(

im not gonna lie, im a massive Sean O'Haire mark. to me, he has the talent and look, and i hope they at least push him to IC title contention, and keep the whole Devils Advocate gimmick as stated above. Then again, in my dreams i also see CM Punk v. Sean O'Haire for the WWE title at WM24-25
As you mighjt have figured out, I am a big time O'Haire mark, but hey "I'm not telling you anything, you don't already know". YES!

Would that we awesome if both came back!

I didn't watch WCW, so when he came to the WWE, I just saw him just as some WCW jobber, then I saw his promos and I started to like him. I saw more of his promos and then I actually spent some time and watched his matches on SmackDown! and I loved him. ( Not in the gay way.:shifty: )
His gimmick is great and I was really confused why the WWE let him go, but thank god he's coming back.
He should be on RAW and team up with Palumbo, maybe give Palumbo the "Devil's Advocate" gimmick aswell.
I'm not telling you anything....meh, you get the point.

Okay, open poll here: Who just sprang a woody at that news? :shifty:
Seriously, I'm so happy to hear this! This is the best news I've heard since Goldust came back to Raw. I'll admit it, I'd rather see more Sean O'Haire than Goldust.
i'm all for this but please put o'haire & palumbo back together

You know what would be awesome? Sean O'Haire re-debuts at WrestleMania by stealing the MITB contract, he then comes out on RAW to new music. Maybe Christian's theme, or the Killswitch Engage one, or something entirely new.
O'Haire is wearing a suit and has the briefcase with him. O'Haire gets on the microphone and says something like this:
I am making a prediction, a prophecy if you will, that this era is going to be the Sean O'Haire Era. You had the Rock 'n' Wrestling Era, led by Hulk Hogan and his 24" pythons...who I beat, by the way. You had the Attitude Era, led by Stone Cold Steve Austin. Well let me tell you something Steve, if I ever got you in the ring I'd go MMA on your ass and remove your redneck from your crippled body. Then there was The Rock. Dwayne, when it comes to being The Great One, there is not a greater one than The Widowmaker, but I'm not TELL-ELL-ELL-ELL-ELL-ELL-ELL-ELL-ELL-ELL-ELL-ing you anything you...don't...already...know. Then there is this era...
Now this era has seen many people step up and try to carry it. First there was Triple H. That ended as soon as he won the WWE Championship. There was Brock Lesnar, but where he is now? There was Chris Benoit, who is now the Champion of the...United States Division. There was Eddie Guerrero, RIP. There was Randy Orton, but he was done in 28 days. There was Batista, but he got stopped by Mark Henry. He's not the animal people make him out to be. Then there was John Cena. I don't think I need to tell anyone how that turned out.
But don't you people worry, because your icon for this era has arrived. You obviously don't want a hero, or else John Cena would have been it. You don't want a villain, because Triple H and Randy Orton would be the top merchandise movers otherwise. No, what you people want is stability! So I, Mr Money in the Bank II, promise you...
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Ric Flair comes out and starts going crazy about stability. You want stability! I'm stability! 16 World Championships! I started in this business before you were born!
Anyway, the long story short is that Sean O'Haire claims he is going to be the most consistent main eventer of the modern WWE, but because he wasn't in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, O'Haire is forced to defend his contract against every single participant in the match in singles matches over the next few weeks. You could even have two Money in the Bank Ladder Matches, one for RAW at Backlash, and one for SmackDown! at Judgment Day.
The Backlash one could have Sean O'Haire, Rob Van Dam, Shelton Benjamin, Ric Flair, Chavo Guerrero, Edge & Shawn Michaels as participants. The Judgment Day could have Sean O'Haire, Finlay, Matt Hardy, Bobby Lashley, Chris Benoit & Randy Orton.
Let's not get too carried away - O'Haire had a killer look, and the Devil's advocate thing had a ton of potential, especially as it's so refreshing to see a genuinely interesting character among new big guys. But he's not that great in the ring just yet.

Damn shame. I think O'Haire has a far more promising career as a MMA Fighter then he does in wrestling. 12-2 MMA record with a 10-2 Kickboxing record...that's really good.

Though...to be honest both his MMA loses came at K-1 events, which is the dead wrong time to let your game slip.

Just wondering, they had already dropped the Devil's Advocate gimmick by the time he was with Piper and released, right?
Also, did I imagine it or is Jindrak coming back as well? Could have sworn I read that.

The fuck is your problem asshole? What does my being gay have to do with anything in here? The fact is no I wouldn't perform saxual acts if given the opportunity on either O'Haire or Test. Just because they have a penis, doesn't mean I want it. If presented with the opportunity would you perform sexual acts with every woman? No.
And also, once again, what the fuck does this have to do with anything?

Sean O'Haire. Oh, hell yeah! I've started watching some WCW tapes lately just to see what half of these guys were like before the invasion, and O'Haire and Palumbo were GOLD! If O'Haire is paired up with ANYBODY, it's gotta be Palumbo. Otherwise, keep him a singles competitor.

You know, with Cade & Murdoch seemingly back together, you could actually get some solid tag action happening on RAW.

Jindrak and O'Haire are probably my favourite tag team from WCW. I know they weren't together for long, but the time they were together was awesome. They were about the same height, the same look (attire) and pretty much were doing some awesome moves. (O'Haire use to do a Swanton... dunno if he does now though). They just seemed to fit.
I didn't mind him teaming with Palumbo, but I always thought him and Jindrak were better.
However, since coming to WWE I didn't think too much of Mark Jindrak, he was alright but not as good as he seemed in WCW.
Doesn't matter anyway, coz I'd rather O'Haire be a singles star,

Fuck yeah
His Sean-ton bomb was killer in WCW, wonder if they will let him use it when he comes back. Although his widow maker move was pretty sick too.
Fuck Jindrak and Palumbo, O'Haire would do better on his own.
And seeing as we're bringing up gayness for no reason - did you know Chad Dick is gay? Read it in the Observer today, that that was why he was being ribbed by JBL so much.
