Bret Hart. Not taking anything away for HBK, he does have a lot of in ring talent, but i still think he is a d*ck head and a hypocrite.

Indeed.
His zeal's far from a bad thing, unless he starts spamming or posting utter shit.

Bret, BTW.
I like 'em both, but my final vote goes to the Hitman.

Bret also has a special kind of "benefit of the doubt" from his forced retirement. He'll be more favorably remembered at his prime, while Shawn still wrestles and his recent career is easier to simply remember. That's not to say the Heartbreak Kid can't wrestle anymore...I'm still entertained by his matches...

Michaels for me
If you ask me one day, I'll say HBK, ask me the next, and I'll say Bret. All depends on my mood.
For now, I'll go with HBK.

In the ring, it's almost impossible to decide. All around, though, I've got to go with the Hitman, hands down. Just a better person backstage and in general, IMO.
When it comes to talent in the ring, you can barely split them. I would pick Bret but wouldn't argue against Shawn. However, being a pro wrestler is about more than talent in the ring and in every single department other than that, Bret has Shawn licked whether it's longevity, loyality, drawing ability, professionalism or conducting yourself outside the ring.

Bret Hart. When I was like.. small, I used to fantasize about Bret handing me his glasses. I never really dreamed of Shawn Michaels showing me all the mirrors on his pants or anything.
But to give credit where it is due, Michaels has come a long way and can still put on quite a show.
I WISH I could see Bret Hart. I was a huge Bret mark, til I saw Rocky Maivia. (yeah, I liked him when he was a gimp, so what..)
But I'll never forget my childhood face. If only it weren't beyond possibility that he return to WWE.

I've alwyas been a Hart fan...what can I say? He really is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.

You have to ask? Bret Hart all the way.
Rob put it perfectly: Shawn is an amazing piece of talent, no doubt, but Bret's amazing all around. The only area I can see Shawn being a little better is the mic skills, and even that's marginal (I've always liked Bret's no nonsense promo style).

Very Very close call. Bret and Shawn are 2 of the best all around wrestlers ever.
But my vote goes to Bret cause his in ring skills surpases HBK

As much as I like HBK I gotta go with Bret too. He brung technical wrestling to the fore front in a world where wrestling was just clotheslines and body slams. Shawn Michaels is great, but he's no Bret Hart.

Bret Hart all the way....no-one has ever matched his skills in the ring even up to today. He made it to the top by excelent wrestling skills, not mic work like Shawn, shawn is a good wrestler but not as good as Hart.
