What would you consider a bigger career highlight? Winning the WWE title or the Royal Rumble?
I personally think winning the Rumble is a bigger career highlight. There have been many WWE Champions, but almost none of them have ever won a Royal Rumble.
I think if someone were to win the Royal Rumble but not win the title. Winning the rumble would be enough to compare that person to WWE champs.
What do you think?
Depends on when they enter. If they enter at #1, yeah, I can see it being as big (not bigger) as a title win.
Of course, it also depends on how they WIN the title. If it's a shit match or a FINGER POKE OF DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM, then the Rumble is bigger.
So it depends on the situation, really.
Well yeah obviously it depends on how they win either one but definitely in general winning the Title is bigger. Thats what every wrestler is supposed to be working towards, and they actually use the Royal Rumble to get there.

Yeah I mean it depends, to me, on the storyline they win either with. Anyone can be a champion, but it takes someone with good work ethic to hold it well several times.

It depends on the performance and reaction the fans give the wrestler in question who wins the Rumble or Title, IMO.
On a side note, I actually enjoyed the finger poke of doom.

It doesn't matter if you enjoied it, the point is that that isn't a real title win in the sense of... uh... Wrestling...
(Yeah yeah, Hogan can't wrestle, you get my point...)

Hmmm lets see:
1988 - Hacksaw Jim Duggan wins Rumble, no WWE title win
1989 - Big John Studd wins the Rumble, no WWE title win
1990 - Hulk Hogan wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title 5 times
1991 - Hulk Hogan wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title 5 times
1992 - Ric Flair wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title twice
1993 - Yokozuna wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title twice
1994 - Bret Hart and Lex Luger won the Rumble, Hart has won the WWE title 5 times, Luger has not won the WWE title
1995 - Shawn Michaels wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title 3 times
1996 - Shawn Michaels wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title 3 times
1997 - Steve Austin wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title 5 times
1998 - Steve Austin wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title 5 times
1999 - Vince McMahon wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title once
2000 - The Rock wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title 4 times
2001 - Steve Austin wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title 5 times
2002 - Triple H wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title 5 times
2003 - Brock Lesnar wins the Rumble, has won the WWE title 3 times
2004 - Chris Benoit wins the Rumble, no WWE title win
2005 - Batista wins the Rumble, no WWE title win
2006 - Rey Mysterio wins the Rumble, no WWE title win
Yeah, I was bored, and judging by what you said, only 6 people who have won the Rumble have not won the WWE title, yet 10 of the Rumble winners have. Considering the Rumble hasn't been going for as long as the WWE title, thats not bad.
And plus there have been A LOT more champions than Royal Rumbles.

Yeah, that too.
Was suprised Flair only won the WWE title twice, same with HBK only winning it 3 times.

Rey winning the rumble and him most likely not getting pushed after mania made me choose the Title.

Winning the world title basically means that the company thinks enough of you to put you at the top of the card and have you as the de facto face of the company. Its the ultimate achievement as a professional wrestler.
Winning the Rumble means that you're being given a push that may or may not RESULT in winning the world title.
I don't honestly think this is even a debate.

I personally disagree. Winning the World Title can just be the WWE testing the waters with you. Winning the Royal Rumble is almost always the way the WWE tells you "you're the guy". You're not a guy, you're "the" guy.
Personally, if I were a professional wrestler, I'd rather win the Royal Rumble than win the World Title. Seriously.
