Okay, settle this for me. Was the crowd warned beforehand not to chant certain things prior to Raw?

My brother-in-law insists that after Mania, and especially the chants in the Cena/Triple H match, the crowd must have been "locked out of the arena and warned" before Raw.

You think they'd actually listen?

I don't. I just want confirmation that it didn't happen.

What would they do? Cancel Raw?

Throw out everyone chanting. And be left with 5 people.

King would still sell it as a capacity crowd.

Nothing was said, I was there and nope, nothing.

Security: Okay, fans, I have been told by a higher up that the following chants have been banned:

Fuck You Cena
Cena Sucks
Suck Off Cena
Cena is Gay
Go Triple H
Gay Gang

And any other anti-Cena chants. If you are heard chanting any of these or any variation, we will prosocute you to the fullest extent of the law.

Fans:

Security: Oh, and you will be locked in a bathroom nude with JBL with a year's supply of soap.

Fans:  :$

Yes, there was a warning.

Yes, there was a warning.
Seriously?

Seriously?

Yes. They made a HUGE deal about it being on cable and not a PPV. So the "Fuck You Cena" chant just wasn't going to cut it.

Yeah, they wanted "Kill the Fucking Fag Wigger" instead.

It makes sense that there was a warning considering that the Fuck You Cena chant wasn't heard on Raw even though it was all the rage around the wrestling world.

You would think they would do it again.

hey man, back when i went to a raw i had a sign that said "Cena cant rap" and they took the damn thing away from me, this was before the boos REALLY started ( i was there for that raw too....god it was insane)....i wouldnt be surprised if they did say something (doubtful of course)

Kane Knight

Taking away signs is an age-old practice.

Telling people not to chant something is a surefire way to get them to.

There was no warning when I was there so unless they did it real early before anyone really got there then no, there was no warning

Kane Knight
04-05-2006, 09:48 AM
Seriously, there's no way they'd try that.

Because they'd then have a full arena chanting "fuck you Cena" specifically to spite them. IT's actually pretty close to VErmaat's bad apples theaory.

Hey, if they said "DON'T cheer for Cena", do you think THAT'D work?

Reverse Bad Applecology.

McLegend

But if they said something like if you start this and this chant you would be escorted out and not given your money back. People just might listen.

But don't people inherrently want to not cheer for him? Don't you think the sheep would just follow the "peer pressure?"

Right, so they'd cheer him because the bad apples are already cheering him because the guy told them not to so they did because they were going against what he said.

Wow, my head hurts...

So they'd just let half the crowd leave? I don't think so. People would do it for spite. In the long run that would destroy WWE.

But we're bad apples who rebel against the WWE to be cool. Because God knows, watching childish characters run around in tights and commit oily embraces is like, the coolest, and we proudly admit to being part of that because we are so awesome.
