I'm specifically looking for a "rim tick" sound, but I'd like to get some other sounds too. Preferably at least semi-organic, not like, techno drums.

Hammerhead.

Once you get the program, go to the "User Banks" link on the left there. There are a couple of good acoustic sounding drum banks in there, especially (not surprising) "Acoustic" 1-4. I think Acoustic 1 has a side stick sound in there, could be 2 though. There are also nice cymbal banks and a mad African drums one too. It is excellent.

OH, they are not wavs, but you make your beat and then export it to wav. So yeah. If you want the single sound, you just put the sound onto the first beat and stream that to wav. Voila.

Well, I thought that was helfup, but I forgot how shitty hammerhead is. I'd rather stick with my current program, is there any way to just get those into .WAV format?

Merci.
'Sall I really need right now. I like the features on Rhythm Rascal. At some point, I might even stop getting around the "mixdown" restriction and pay for it. :D

:D Hammerhead is not too bad if you stick the userbanks. Those are actually some decent drum sounds. But yes, their sample bank is rephrehensible. :$

Hammerhead is more something I hate because of the interface. Rhythm Rascal is a much better interface (IMO), but TECHNICALLY isn't freeware.
