lol I can see it now.

Family Guy busts out an episode in South Park style animation.

Xero

It was pretty great. I love how they hit so many things in that episode. Family Guy, Muslims, Scientologists (the big picture is clearly about them), themselves. I can't wait for next week.

What was Kyle talking about when he said that someone gave him sound advice? Was it Cartman or a hint/jab at Chef?

The scary thing about episode is that, even though I'm a HUGE Family Guy fan (moreso than South Park) they hit the nail right on the head. Everything they did in the parodies is spot on what Family Guy would do, only in a sort of less-humorus way (to knock them, obviously).

All the flashbacks they did is EXACTLY what FG would do.

It also expressed there frustrations with Comedy central pulling there episodes. (I think it was the big point)

Trapped in the Closet wasnt axed.
They refused to air it in reruns. After it's first run (I think three or so times in one week) it wasn't aired again.

what episodes have been pulled?

Blood mary was shown once (But it wasn't really good)
The Closet episode was pulled after a threat from Tom Cruise. (Tom denies making the threat)---------------------------
(As you probably gathered from the above posts)

The Bloody Mary one was shit.

For the benefit of Xero Limit whatever, Randy got caught drink driving and thought his alcoholism was a disease, some religious guy found a statue of the Virgin Mary was bleeding out of its arse and everyone thought it was a miracle so they went and worshipped the statue and hoped it would heal them if it bled on them, then Pope Benedict shows up and realises the Virgin Mary is bleeding out of her vagina, and that's no miracle.

Quite terrible episode, wasn't really funny at all - just offensive.

Also, @ Cartman's big speech about everyone comparing him to Family Guy

I wasn't really all that impressed with this week's episode, but I laughed my ass off at Cartman going off on Family Guy. That is exactly my argument whenever my friends ask me why I don't like FG. I just never thought I'd hear my thoughts coming out of Cartman's mouth.

The double episode had a good build up, but the second act really failed to follow up on it. I guess it was entertaining enough though.

I wonder what Family Guy will say to all of this.

Peter: I'm gonna fix that Refridgerator

Brian: You mean like the time you tried to fix the animation on south park?

Mr. Monday Morning
04-14-2006, 06:27 AM
The difference is South Park is produced in like a week, Family Guy takes months. There won't be a rebuttal anytime soon unless they do a awkward voiceover or something when they're recording the audio.

Wait a second, I thought the part where the black screen came up saying Comedy Central is not showing the image of Muhammad was a joke on the show. I didn't know Comedy Central actually pussed out and pulled the image.

That's laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame

I was torn with the past 2 weeks episodes. I love both South Park and Family Guy, but it was bound a feud would happen. SP even got The Simpsons and King of the Hill in this weeks episode as well. Bart killed me cus he looked like one of their basic little kids, only with the spiked hair.

Entirely possible. Everything they do is pretty much for their own amusement, can only imagine how much they're laughing at how much the geeks on AICN and the like are arguing over Family Guy vs South Park - Which Is Better

I dont get why the hell they had to attack the formula of a show (FG), it made no sense...i mean, well all know how hard it is in this time and day to make a show based outta shock value and watch its ratings go up.....oh and dont forget how hard to it is to pick a touchy subject then just shit on it and never have an episode that really has a true point to it outside of that shock value.
I love both shows really, but to sit there and attack a show that follows a certain type of way of comedy, is stupid beacuse in theory, everyone has wat they like....i think its called fan bases or something like that. Either way tho, the episode was funny and im not takin sides really, just stating it was kinda stupid.

FG is going to get them back, and there going to do it suttley like this i bet. in one episode theres just gonna be a runing joke of seeing people in front of tvs and meg/brian/whoever is just gonna be like "hey what are you watching?" and chirs (only one i can see sayin this) will say "south park" and peter or who ever is just going to say "oh" with alook of disgust on their face. then at the end of the episode someones gonna ask "hey isnt this that show that took a shot at some other cartoon show and got big again beacuse there shows were becoming to touchy to be put on more then once a week in feeble atempts to not just die off?" and someone will say "yea, but what about that show that was taken off the air for 5+ years then some company bought the reruns rights too and despite the episodes being shown years ago, still got some of the highest ratings and then, from that got put back on the air?"
