Yeah. Mostly Test, Moore, Jamal, Palumbo, etc...

Signh will stay because he's a fucking hoss.

Yeah. Mostly Test, Moore, Jamal, Palumbo, etc...

lol.

Wouldn't surprise me to see a lot of dead wood dropped in the coming months to make room for these new additions.

We'll probably see the back of Scotty 2 Hotty, Steven Richards, Hardcore Holly, Lance Cade and some of these other guys who are going nowhere fast.

Holly had a fucking banner at Mania. Either that was his send-off or Vince is still fucking him on the side.

There comes a point where there is nothing else they can do with Holly. He's worked there now for 13 years, with a few absences here and there. I know the office loves him and uses him as some kind of locker room enforcer, but the crowd just doesnt buy him in a main event position (as proven in early 2004), or even in a high mid-card slot.

He doesn't have the history, fan support or clout of other long-time WWE loyalists like the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, therefore he will go the same way as other "guaranteed employees for life" such as Billy Gunn and Big Bossman. It's a question of when? Sooner or later?

His current injury layoff could be the end of Bob Holly's WWE career. (Unless he ends up as an agent some day?)

A little bit of both.

*cut to scene of Vince and Bob in bed, Vince smoking a cigarette, Bob applying Vaseline*

Vince: I've got good news, Holly.

Holly: I'm going to get a title shot this year?

Vince: What? No...Well, maybe in TNA. You're fired.

Holly: That's good news?

Vince: No. I just saved a ton of money by switching my car insurance to Geico.

Well, Rosey, Tomko and (strangely) Haas have been dropped already. Plus, the Dicks and the Heartbreakers got tossed earlier. And you can't forget the walk-out effect of Christian and Jericho. So, you figure adding Dalip, Jamal, CCP, Test, Moore, Gunter-- this Umaga nonsense -- and possibly Sean O'Haire; should cover the loss of two tag teams, and 3 singles.

Seems about even, really.

Haas is gone?

And the Ruse Report didn't cover it?

We'll probably see the back of Scotty 2 Hotty, Steven Richards,

Why is it that someone always thinks that Scotty and Steven are gonna be released ? It happenes every year.

They'll never be released because Scotty has been with the WWE for a good 13 years. And he's (Sadly) The jobber, he's happy to job and Vince likes that. He's loved by the fans (Mostly kids) and If you can get kids watching wrestling, then they're gonna get hooked on it and watch it all the time, Vince knows that and that's how he gets his money.

Richards isn't going anywhere soon. First off, he's Vince's favourite wrestler, he's the best Hardcore wrestler the WWE has, and he's happy to job aswell. He's liked all around the locker room and he trained Shane for is match against Michaels at SNME. He's got (Kinda) close connections with the McMahon's.

The only way you'll see Scotty and Steven leave the company is if they quit.

Scotty's a great performer in a shitty gimmick.

Scotty WAS a great performer. He's way past the point of getting any kind of a legit push.

Kane Knight
04-08-2006, 06:51 PM
He still is a great performer. Being great and getting a push are nowhere near the same thing. Otherwise, JEricho and Angle'd be dueling it out to see who broke Flair's Heavyweight reign record first.

Here is the talent I see WWE cutting this year:

1. Snitsky
2. Goldust
3. Trevor Murdoch
4. Orlando Jordan
5. Sylvan
6. Umaga (yes, I honestly mean it)
7. Hardcore Holly
8. Candice Michelle
9. Torrie Wilson
10. Kristal Marshall

This isn't what I want to see, but they are all safe cuts, in my opinion. I don't know why, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Rob Conway go either.

Your cutting Murdoch over Cade? Why?

Also, why are you cutting the two Playboy Playmates, that's like a 180 of WWE thinking...also I think Kristal is pretty safe.

She'll be cut a few months after she's posed for Playboy. Or for not posing for Playboy.

Murdoch just seems less impressive to me. Cade's young, and is pretty big. Murdoch is good, but if he left the WWE, he wouldn't really make a splash anywhere else.

Christy Hemme did Playboy, and where is she? Since the Tonight Show incident, I don't really see Candice Michelle sticking around with the company once they've made the money they want out of her with the Playboy shit. Torrie is more likely to stick around, but she's getting older, so I can see the WWE parting ways with her as well.

Kristal isn't that hot. She is apparently training to be a wrestler, but since when has that stopped the WWE. I really think the only Divas safe in the WWE are Trish Stratus, Mickie James, Maria & Melina.

If they do end up doing another roster cut I really hope they don't decide to let go guys like the Bashams or Val Venis. It would be a big mistake on Vince's part (in the end letting go of these key guys would likely spell the end for the WWE)

For example, just think what TNA could do with Doug Basham. First of all they'd let him truly show off his Chris Benoit skills. Furthermore getting Doug Basham would single handedly give TNA the upper hand in the "war" against the WWE. With Doug Basham as their champion and king I have no doubt TNA would become the number one wrestling promotion in the entire fucking world.

In all seriousness though I wouldn't be shocked to see them release guys like the Bashams, Val, Sylvain Grenier, Dupree, Conway, etc... (maybe not all of them but some of them would probably end up being cut, one or both of the Bashams being top candidates)

i disagree on Allienoid's post about 2 of the cuts

Torrie Wilson and Candice Michelle

Both are renowned with Playboy, and sell where ever they go
Eye candy goes a long way with selling

But eye candy only lasts so long, and it only does so much in regards to making up for a lack of talent.

It was nothing "serious", but Candice Michelle just talked around the WWE, and then said she would be challenging Trish Stratus for the WWE Women's Championship at WrestleMania. I didn't actually see the show, but it apparently made her sound egotistical and above the WWE.

LOL, you have me confused for Vermaat.

I have never said that the WWE releasing guys like Val Venis, Doug Basham or Damaja would destroy the WWE. These guys aren't really important to the WWE's scheme of things at the moment. Can they be? Yes, but right now they're not.

Doug Basham will probably not be released. He just signed a new deal with the WWE, and his uncle is head trainer in OVW. Basham also apparently helps out with training down there. Plus, if he did go to TNA, and used the ability Chris Benoit himself has said Basham has, he wouldn't boost them to being on WWE's level, but he can add that certain spice of wrestling to the X-Division that people say it lacks. He wouldn't launch the company to new levels, but he would be one of those guys who is "another reason to watch".

Danny Basham and Rene Dupree have signed new contracts as well. Neither being released would surprise me, but both are young talent, and if used correctly could be huge stars for the WWE down the line.

Sylvan is a mixed bag. Out of the La Resistance guys, I see him being most likely to go. He's decent in the ring, but there are better guys. His current character started off with potential, but he is now only used on-and-off by the WWE. He's in the position where he's not young enough to be given the benefit of the doubt, but he's not proven enough to be kept around for enhancement purposes. Val Venis being let go is not a realistic statement to make (Me talking about realism? Wow). Every year people say Val Venis, Steven Richards & Nunzio will go. It never happens. Why? Because the WWE genuinely likes the guys. They work well, never complain, do the job and do it well. I personally believe all three will join the "WWE 4 Life" club, and become road agents when it's their time to move on.

Out of the guys you listed, I see Sylvain Grenier, Rob Conway & Danny Basham as being the three most likely to be released. Rene Dupree, Doug Basham & Val Venis will probably all stick around (watch the WWE prove me wrong, though).

Eye candy certainly helps, but it's not like the WWE can't go out and hire more women. Torrie Wilson has expressed interest in training to be a wrestler, and she has been witht he company for a while. I see her as having a better chance of survival than Candice Michelle.

Michelle is fairly attractive, but she doesn't have anything else the WWE can't hire elsewhere. Sable, Chyna & Christy Hemme have all done Playboy for the WWE and look where they have ended up. Once this "Go Daddy" thing dies down, the WWE will probably get Maria, Mickie James, Victoria or beg Trish Stratus to do it. Candice Michelle, as negative as this might sound, adds nothing to the WWE.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see both ladies stay, though.
