That they've changed the SD theme like 90 times and not changed Raw since the UU song became the theme? I actually like the Union Underground, but really, it's been there a long time. We've seen SD themes come and go, however.

Yeah, it's long overdue for a change. How long ago was that when UU performed the theme live on Raw? I had a feeling that we would see a new theme the Monday after Mania....but clearly I won't be opening my own psychic hotline anytime soon.

The new RAW theme debuted around 2002. SmackDown has had 91 themes, KK. God, the record-keeping around here sucks.

I think they should put the Natalie Portman Rap as the raw theme.
I also think natalie portman should marry me.. but that's neither here nor there...
It's just like RAW's GM. Bischoff was the only GM after Flair.
SmackDown! has had like 30...

I find Union Underground sound way too much like Powerman 5000. The song is good, and fits Raw well, but it doesn't seem to fit as well with WWE's product right now. It does go well, but Raw doesn't have a metal feel anymore. Maybe something less heavy like... I don't know... Foo Fighters-ish?
They could keep the theme and I'd still like it.

lol@foo-fighters, no way.
Raw needs to go back to the old raw is war theme, just to get that attitude feel to it back.I used to get a really hyped up feeling before watching raw when that music played, its not the same with this current theme though.

Agree with Dorkchop, the song doesn't match the theme of the show anymore.
But they should focus on returning the show's feel to match the theme rather than choose a glossy, overproduced song to match their current glossy, overproduced show.

Maybe something with that feel. You know a rock band that is actually good. I'm not saying Foo Fighters should do raw's theme, but maybe something that style. Like hard, but not too hard. Or fast, but not too fast.
I just think Raw maybe needs something different.

Isn't that basically Smackdown's intro? I was thinking something along the lines of Black Label Society or Mudvayne.

Wasn't UU already broken up by then?

God. A Foo Fighters soundalike would bloody suck. Given the choice, I'd take Across the nation.

if they had to match raw now.. they'd do postal service
but it'd rock if they used Cursive, pavement, Weezer from the pinkerton era (back when they were hard) or some indie band that has a hard edge (not saying pavement does)

Pavement is for ladies, and men with vaginas.
Fozzy is enjoyable and should do a new Raw theme.

Raw's current theme isn't as bad as SmackDown's. Raw's theme actually gets you pumped for the action you're about to see. SmackDown's, on the other hand, is bland and lacks that adrenaline rush to pump you up.
SmackDown definetely needs a new edgier theme[and perhaps the fist set needs to be redone, the current one kinda sucks].
Raw's theme is old and they need a new layout for RAW as well. Both shows need new sets, music and intro videos. WWE will probably keep it the same though.

I like SmackDown!'s theme better than RAW's. I think RAW could use a new one.
The shows getting a complete change around wouldn't be too bad, either. The current RAW set is just a slightly evolved version of the last one. Time to make some changes to the logo. I even think a colour theme change would be nice. Maybe black & gold? Just throwing the idea out there.
Random Fact: If you count the General Managers who have served on RAW and SmackDown!, technically RAW has had more GMs. SmackDown! has had Stephanie McMahon, Paul Heyman, Kurt Angle & Theodore Long. Eric Bischiff, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Maven, Chris Benoit, Randy Orton & Chris Jericho have all served on RAW, although the last four are kind of trivial as they were only GM for a night. Just a weird technicality that goes against what we perceive as actuality (SmackDown! seems to go through GMs like toilet paper).

Smackdown does need it worse. I don't think Drowning Pool's done anything worth comment since their frontman died. This new remix is even worse.
However, Smackdown themes have a shelf life of like 8 months tops. Whereas Raw's has been around forever.

Except the last ones were never to replace the GM. Whereas when a GM leaves on SD, they're actually, you know, replaced, not put on and then have the old guy back (As soon as the month of one night stands is up).

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was trying to say, but said better. SmackDown! does replace its General Managers more, but if you technically count the number of people in the position on RAW, it's quite an interesting find. Or boring find, whichever you prefer.

Yeah, I always say this when someone mentions the set but I hate it. Its cold and bland looking. I prefer raws because it look warmer. That may sound stupid but I hate the Cold looking SD! set and the whole silver/blue colour scheme. What about dark purple/black :wtf:
Think of the sponsorship deals they'll get from Vimto.

Seriously, dark purple/black would be so much better. Change the logo and have a variation of the original SmackDown! set. Give it back the original music, or some new music which fits the show.

I think they really should jsut get some sort of hip hop theme or something....as in a GOOD hip hop theme....Ghostface killah would be a good choice or something within his sound.....actually, for some odd reason that new busta song "touch it" (Sadly, they couldnt use the remix with papoose on it, whcih is the only way ill listen to the song) just causr they could start it off with "Touch it leave it what ever the fucke else she says" and just show some of the nastiest chair/pucnh/kick and slam type shots for each "It" they have in the begining of the song
P.S. i really hate that song without the remix, but i could just see it working.

I know it was an atempt at trying to write lyrics, but if it makes you feel any better...its what emo sounds like.

Duh?
That was the fucking point, dumbass. You're pretty stupid, even for a wigger.
I mean, I took the structure of an already horrible song (Rise up sucks fucking ass) and tried to add emo to it (There's no such thing as a good emo songwriter), so what did you expect, exactly?

I'm a bit tired of the current theme. It's time for a change.
The WWE has a new CD coming out in a few weeks, maybe we'll see a slight change then. It's been four years, I say that's good timing.
