Okay, this is a bit of a personal note here...
I've been doing a lot of thinking for the past few months, and I want to get a tattoo that shows that I'm a wrestling fan. I've talked to some people and I've only gotten shitty ideas. "Oh, how about a logo?" Yeah right, I'm not a fan of one company, I'm a fan of the industry. "How about you get a title belt arm band?" No, not a huge fan of arm bands. "What about someone doing your favorite move on someone else?" In theory, good idea, but I really can't see myself with someone doing a 450 on someone else.
So far the only idea that I would get is Kane's mask (his last one), but it's for the wrestling industry, not just one wrestler.
Now here's my thing- I'm asking for your imput. Everyone else that I've talked to is either a casual fan, or isn't a fan at all. I've watched it when it was at it's best. Steve Austin was raising hell on a weekly basis, Bret Hart wasn't Anti-American (he was just really Pro-Canadain), DX told all of us to Suck It... and I've sat through a lot of crap. Katie Vick, the nWo, Buff Bagwell, X-Pac... Yeah, I'd call myself a serious fan, and I want to show it.
Any ideas?
How about a wrestling ring?
Or even a steel chair. :shifty:

Every wrestler.
Ever.
Get the Ultimate Warrior's face paint tattooed onto your face. Just so you can say that you went to court with the Warrior because he claimed that he owned your face.

The sad thing is that comes in a close second behind Kane's mask.

A tattoo of Rey Misterio's mask would be the most innovative tattoo EVAR~!
Sorry.
Seriously though :shifty: , you could always get Ric(k) Flair's robe tattoo'd on your whole body, but nothing.....to me....says "wrestling fan" quite like a tattoo of Moppy. :y:

Get a circle with a square around it. "Squared circle."
It's subtle, but you'll know what it means, and it doesn't show devotion/bias to/against any one promotion.
...except TNA. But a hexagonal circle would be kinda weird.
The Six Sided Circle. :shifty:

How about a silhouette of a cross body, flying elbow, big splash, or something like that.

You shold go to a really good tattoo artist and give them your ideas, and they'll probably give you something really innovative. Honestly some tattoo artists are veryu creative guys, they might come up with something really cool.

Personally, I think tatoos are great things, but getting one about the wrestling industry would be a terrible idea because it is always changing.
If however you are serious, I guess the one suggestion I would have would be the World Title of the first company you watched (for me that would be the NWA Title)...that or a silhouette of someone doing an elbow drop (no one receiving it, just a picture perfect elbow drop). Or The Four Horsemen Fingers, or maybe if you were a DX fan a tatoo of some hands doing the crotch chop, or the Kliq/nWo Wolfpac hand gesture, or maybe just a tatoo of WrestleMania, since pretty much everyone can agree WrestleMania is the SuperBowl for any wrestler.
Or you could ask Triple A to pay you $500 to tatoo TPWW.net across your chest. :shifty:

I think the Randy Savage silhouette is the best bet. I would never get a tattoo about wrestling though.

Yeah, in 20 years we could be looking at the standard ring being 8 sided!

I mean no disrespect, but getting a wrestling tattoo is pretty stupid. Unless you yourself are a wrestler, it'd be super lame to get it. I use toilet paper but I'm not going to get a toilet paper tattoo. You want it because you love the industry, well, I love the food industry so should I get a hot dog tattoo?
If you must, make sure it's small and subtle, you will get A LOT of ribbing about it, that's why I like the square and circle idea. If you have a really good reason for the tattoo the silhouette would be good, it'd be like the Air Jordan symbol everybody has. But since in my opinion, your reason is lame, I think it's a bad idea. Again, no disrespect.

CM Punk has a Pepsi logo and he's not in the soda industry.

That Pepsi tatoo is stupid though. Makes me want to stab CM Punk.
What about people with flowers...
"Oh, I like flowers, so I'm going to draw one on my tummy!"
The same thing can be said about any tattoo. Why would they want to scar themselves just to show off something they love?

I got nothing against tattoos other than the fact a lot of people make mistakes of thinking they'll always like it. 2 years from now, you could be completely turned off of wrestling so then you look at your tatty and cringe.
Unless they're put off from the stuff that they USED to like about it, I see nothing wrong with it.
For example, I was a Steve Ausin fan in the Attitude era. Let's I get a tattoo of the smoking skull on my arm, complete with "Austin 3:16" wording. Two years after I get it I'm disgusted by the current state of wrestling and I hate it, but that doesn't make up for the fact that Steve Austin gave me great memories and that the tattoo is something to remind me of those memories.
So unless I was living a lie those X amount of years, I must have some fond memories of Steve Austin, thus, even though it's not CURRENTLY relavent, it still means something to me.

Which is why the Squared Circle one would be perfect. A few years from now if he doesn't like wrestling anymore (and the way it's going, who could blame him?) he could just say it's abstract art and maybe add a triangle in there.
Or just get a Brahma Bull on your right arm.
I always wanted a Smokin' Skull on my shoulder blade, but without Stone Cold wrote on the forehead. So if I fall out of wrestling, it's still a kick-ass design without being directly associated with wrestling.

Whoever said speak to the a good tattooist about it had the right idea.
Go to them with your ideas and speak to them about it, they'll help you out and you cna go through some designs together.

I went past a tattooist yesterday and he had this sign on the door:
No food
No drink
No Pets
NO TIME WASTERS!
I'm guessing he wasn't the helpfull kind.
My mother has a few tattoos and once when she got one a Marine was in there, screamed when he started to get it and passed out.
What a pussy.

you're getting the penis and everything?
I think you should get one of 3 things:
1) guy giving another guy a sharpshooter
2) guy giving another guy a suplex (fisherman or hanging)
3)guy giving another guy head... no wait...
3)just some dude flexing

The tatoo Chuck Jones is getting is actually the same statue that Wrestling (amature/real) Hall of Famers receive. It is a very timed honored design much like the Oscar statues of the Academy Awards. Just a little back info for anyone who didn't know. :shifty:

Actually, you can clearly see the penis on his back, which I guess shows it is not in his ass. I am sure most guys (approx 90%) would rather have the dick on the lower back then in the lower backside.

It's more as a sign of respect and honor the roots of Wrestling...when it did used to be done in the nude. Believe it or not, most people don't advocate wrestling in the nude unless you have 36 DD breast and are willing to do it in mud, Jello, etc., etc....
