This looks hilarious. The Wayans are always skilled though at making parodies of Scary Movies. It looks like "The Grudge", "The Villiage", and "Saw" are the ones being singled out this year.

The funniest part of the trailer is the Jigsaw character saying they will "play a game for their lives[off of Saw]" and Shaq missing the shot with that boulder/rock.

I just wonder how many more "Scary Movie" movies there will be[since the horror movie genre is famous for its infinite amount of sequels]. How many of you will actually go to see it?

The only really funny things from the first three movies all involved Leslie Nielson.

So yeah, not that great. Except for Leslie.

The Wayanses left the product after the second movie. The third was directed by David Zucker (from the Airplane! and Naked Gun franchises). He's doing the fourth one, also.

I'll go and see it, though, because the third movie was easily the best of the series. I really don't think the Wayanses are all that funny (or, rather, haven't been funny since In Living Color was cancelled), but Zucker floors me almost every time. I'm looking forward to it.

Is Nielsen gonna be in this one, if he is I will definitely see it, if not then I just might see it.

Yeah, Nielsen is in it.

They were all terrible (like 3 or 4 giggle moments in each of them), but 3 was the worst.

Whoever is writing these should be locked in a room with like 0986586525986 of the worst stand up comics all doing their act at the same time.

All three of them sucked.

I'd say two sucked the worst cause that was just plain retarded.
the third one is a very very close second cause it was just a stupid I don't even know what to call it.

the first one was the best of the three but that's not sayin too much.

Hell yeah!! That and the spoof of the Nike commercial made Scary Movie 2 worthwhile. Although I'll admit SM2 was kinda pointless.....as are all parodies; they're SUPPOSED to be pointless.

Saw the third one last night, except for about 4 lol moments I was disappointed.

I remember actually liking the first one, but this was a long time ago

I'm psyched for this one because Michael Madsen is in it. I don't care how long he is in it, I just know he is.

Talk about overdoing a franchise. The irony of it is that the first movie's tagline was "No mercy, no shame, no sequel."

i actually didnt enjoy the 3rd one, the first 2 cracked me up, and the 2nd one had that hot red head, but i love airplane, so ill see the 4th one. I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue...

*side note* by far the funniest 2 parts in Airplane are the bar fight when the disco music starts playing and that fat guy begins to get down, and the Ethal Murmon (sp) part.

The thing I didn't like about 3 was how there was no plot, it just just random movie scenes/jokes. I know it is supposed to get through as many as possible, but Scary Movie 1 & 2 actually had some kind of general horror vessel for the duration of the film. The first had a slasher plotline and the second had a haunted house theme to it. If they do make a fifth, I think it would be better if David Zucker gives it a go and makes a plot that follows a specific horror styling (like zombies or the new films that try to be excessively violent).

Leslie Nielson cracked me up in the third one, though, as did the news reporter scenes for some reason.

I thought the third one was pretty consistently following the "alien invasion" storyline. Yeah, it jumped around, but the spine of the movie was the invasion.

Three wasn't awful. The toned down rating probably differed it more from the first two than anything.

I thought 2 wasn't that good but the rest I've enjoyed. Saw Scary Movie 4 the other night and whilst it wasn't the funniest thing ever I enjoyed a few laughs.

Which one was the one how he knocked the alien's head off with the shovel and goes "I've found the weakness, they're powerless without their heads"

Yeah. People bitched about a lack of plot, when it doesn't really take much to notice it.

I dunno. I hated the first two (They weren't really all that funny), so the third being a shit movie for the Zucker Bros. didn't stop it from owning the first two in my mind.

1 was good, 2 sucked, 3 was good, 4 sucked. So 5 should be good.

Yeah, really not good. The Saw and Brokeback Mountain stuff in particular fell really flat. The beginning sequence with Shaq and Dr. Phil was just awful. There was like 2 really good lol moments for me. There wasn't enough Leslie Nielsen or Anthony Anderson.

Craig Bierko was pretty funny tho. Especially the Oprah sequence.

I think my problem with the third was that it was "too specific" in what it ripped off. I mean, sure the first was obviously modelled on Scream, etc., but the way they did it, it didn't feel like it was ripping only on Scream. The Signs storyline in three was so specific, it just didn't have the same strength for me.

If they ever make a Scary Movie 5 (and you know they will), I'd prefer it if it was based around a style of horror film. The new age "gorefests" seem to be the way to go. Films with chainsaws and foreign torturers, etc.

They MUST keep Leslie Nielsen, though.

So what you're saying is, by "no plot," you meant the absolute opposite (The plot was two narrowly focused and specific).

Which is utter bullshit, but I accept your total 180.

SM3 was one of the WORST movies he's ever done.

And one of the worst Zucker movies I've ever seen.

And what I've seen of 4 makes me really sad for both of them.
