DX?

I don't know if this has been brought up (I couldn't see any threads on it), but is WWE just teasing fans with a possible DX reunion or are there any plans in the works?

I mean, both Shawn Michaels AND Triple H did cross chops at WrestleMania, and on RAW this past Monday night, Shawn told Vince he had two words for him, followed by the crowd shouting "Suck It!" And I don't think anyone can deny the recognition was strong on both Sunday AND Monday. Someone even had a DX sign at 'Mania.

There's probably nothing in it, put I thought I would survey and see what everyone else thought. If there IS a new DX though, who would be the most likely candidates to join?

With Triple H leaving soon to be a father, he's pretty much out of the question. Which leaves us with Shawn Michaels, who couldn't be a heel. They tried it against Hogan and it didn't work. They tried it when he joined nWo, and THAT didn't work. So, it would have to be a face DX. So who are the top faces on RAW?

RVD: Very over, but with his upcoming title push, being part of a team would only hinder him.

Kane: Tried it once before siding him with X-Pac and Road Dogg, and the Kane character has changed so much since then it wouldn't work.

Big Show: No f'n way.

Flair: See above. DX isn't like the Horsemen or Evolution. Flair would not work as a D-Generate.

I think that's about it. RAW is inundated with heels, but there aren't any faces that could make it work. The only other "face" is Cena, and he gets X-Pac heat, so that wouldn't work either.

Anyways, like I said, probably nothing in it. I await the flames and neg reps this subject is bound to invite.

Well with Shawn and HHH doing the cross chops at Mania may have been a test the water move. You know, how would the fans react to it? Then on RAW the next night having Shawn say what he said. Might have been to see if the fans would go with it or reject it. But, now I regret starting this thread because I realise it was just the mark in me wishing. :o :( :shifty:

Whilst Shawn's seemed planned, HHH's seemed more of an improv chop.

I don't think HHH would have done it without Shawn doing it. HHH is a master improv artist. I am sure he saw HBK do is earilr and thought it would be funny. He has a history of taking something done eariler in a broadcast and either repeating it or blowing it up...it's funny, it works, and I love Hunter for it.

But no, DX won't be coming back, or if it does, I will rip my left leg off so I have something to throw at McMahon's head.

I think it's just a tease and probably an inside joke between Hunter & Michaels. The audience is so easily manipulated, it'd be the perfect way to "work" the net fans. I'm sure that's all it was;

Besides, no version ever done of DX was as good as the original[HHH & HBK]. I don't think Shawn would do it, then again, I never thought he would do a crotch chop again and look what happened.....

DX reuniting in 1999 was good. They had the McMahon/DX faction going on, with the RUN DMC theme and the DX Express. That was still a good version of DX

To do it again, wouldn't fit the current era

I also sincerely doubt anything will come of this.

But, if there were to be a face DX, I think it would be something like Shawn getting together a few people that've been screwed by Vince recently. O'Haire and Test off the top of my head...recently re-signed. It would be destined to get a lot of people's hopes up and fail miserably.

how about matt hardy as a DX member he gets screwed by all vince,lita,edge & kane ect & there is talk that nash & x pac are in talks with the WWE again they will suit the DX mold
