I like the guy honestly. The guy has the physical talent to be a great upper-midcard (which is what he is now but..) and sometime down the road become a main-eventer...but god damn, am i the only one who finds his talking irritating!? Not the diction-factor, just the fact that he messes up like every time he talks? The guy needs to work on those mic skills pronto b/c he's acting too green to be in the WWE for like 2-3 years.

Talk.

Yeah, pretty much.

Also, he is is too nice guyish to be a heel.

Maybe that's the point though? Like RNN news? Was acting nice, but saying heelish things.

Seriously though, Benjamin can't talk for shit live infront of the audience, his backstage skits with his mom used to be ok though.

But he's not supposed to be that kind of guy. Clearly he was supposed to be the cocky asshole (AKA Orton, now), but he was fumlbing his lines so bad and hasn't really come off as especially heelish, IMO.

Just give him a stutter gimmick, problem solved!

Then Shelton's mama can hire in Charlie Haas, who since his departure has become a speech therapist and then you can have:

Th...Th...Th...Th...World Gr....Greatest T...T..Tag Team p p p p part 2!

I think he has really improved his mic skills on the backstage skits. Ive seen a few this year and he comes off as really charismatic. But alas as soon as he comes out to a live stage the nerves get the better of him.

Which is a pity because Cena doesnt look like he will be a top line face for much longer and which Orton being suspended and his future being unclear Shelton could have become the man in the wwe.

Apart from the fact that RVD beats him in every area of a wrestler IMO

RVD is the man for the future :y:

I find Sheltons wwe matches to be better and exciting than RVD's wwe matches.

And its always hard for a wrestler that wasnt made in the wwe to a long term main eventer in the wwe.

Watch RVD from ECW he's better, he's just not permitted to showcase that fact.

I agree 100% which is why if you read my post I said "I find Sheltons wwe matches to be better and exciting than RVD's wwe matches"

I have seen RVD's ecw matches and they are awesome and are of a higher quality than Shelton's matches but they are not in ECW they are in the WWE.

For whatever reason maybe RVD is getting lazy, getting older or maybe he isnt just adapting to the wwe style but his matches are no where near as innovative or exciting as Shelton's matchs. Having said that I am still a RVD mark

When you say that Shelton is being innovative, waht do you mean by that, he's been wrestling for less time so he's still homing on his 5 moves of doom that the road agents will allow him to do, so most of the stuff he's doing seems fresh because it is.

RVD had a moveset before he showed up to Titan Towers and the agents didn't it, cos workers were getting hurt with his strikes and IMO it was making the upper card look shit, so they toned him down to the 5 moves he used each match without fail.

What i'm trying to say is Shelton will be having the same matches in a years time and by then he won't seem as innovative

Shelton is trying to hard. He needs to be more natural. Look back to his first match with HHH. He didn't need mic skills because his character oozed charisma in the ring itself. He was a cocky "rookie" in that match, and he didn't even have to pick up the mic.

By innovative Im talking about the stuff he has done in the last two MITB matches and some of the stuff he used to do off the top rope and stuff.

Who knows the agents may crack down on him and may start to get stale but over the last year or two hes matches have been amoung the best in the wwe. I can't say the same for RVD.
