I know majority of you probably won't be interested in the news... but I can tell a few of you will be.

Yes!!! It's out. Well... a 128kb/s quality version of the album is anyways. A better quality rip will be out in the next couple of weeks most probably, but if you are desperate to hear the new album from TBS, I suggest you click on the link. I'll probably post a reply as to what songs I think are good from the album.
MakeDamnSure is a start, good song.

Well you've probably already grabbed that version, but a CD-RIP is out now. :D It's available at both TorrentSpy and mp3nova.org. I'm going to get that one now.

What are they like? What sort of style are they?
Looking for boobies.

If you really want to find out what they're like... look up their discography and start with their earlier albums. Most people classify Taking Back Sunday as "emo"... but this emo tag would probably fit their lyrics more than their style of music as they are alternative rock.
Tell All Your Friends (2002)
Where You Want To Be (2004)
Louder Now (2006)
It's hard to pick my favourite, but I think I still prefer the earlier albums. Don't get me wrong though, I do like the new one with songs such as:
MakeDamnSure
Twenty-Twenty Surgery
What's It Feel Like To Be A Ghost?
Liar (It Takes One To Know One)
The Greater Power

I always confuse them with The Ataris.

I liked this album a lot more than the last one.
Yeah it's amazing. Might be my fav out of all 3, but they're all comparable.

I dunno. I enjoyed it, but it honestly felt like the songs could have been slapped on the end of Where You Want To Be and it could have been one mega-album. :$

Max boy-death vocals on this one too. Adam started using them more in WYWTB on songs like One Eighty By Summer, but they are in abundance on this album.
That said, I really enjoy the album, but it just doesn't feel "new".
I think its the worst out of all 3 albums. There's 5 songs i really like and the rest i really have a dislike for. The first album was amazing. The second album had its high points and average points, but no real low points. This one has some really good songs, but mixed in with some really bad songs that, to me, didnt seem like they fit on the album.

Where You Want To Be had one (very) low point: "A Decade Under The Infulence".

A Decade Under the Influence is a better song than This Photograph is Proof. I hate that song.
Louder Now is pretty good. I think I like Fred a lot more on this CD than on Where You Want to Be. He's still no John but he's grown on me a lot.

These are all AWESOME songs IMO:
What's It Feel Like To Be A Ghost?, Liar (It Takes One To Know One, Twenty Twenty Surgery, Spin (my favorite on the CD), Miami, and Error: Operator
I could listen to those all day.

Really? Wow, I hated it immensely. It was like emocore generica. Maybe the lyrics are what shit me the most. :$ I really can't stand the whole "I've got a bad feeling about this" over and over.
That said, I  Fred, who has had big, big shoes to fill and just gets better with each release.

I bought it the same day I got Stadium Arcadium.... I've only given it one or two listens so I can't say I've formed an opinion either way yet -_-

Yeah, because he released wuss music.
Emo is for little kids who want to attract sympathy from pre teen girls.
Nirvana doesnt fit that description.
Emo is played by well to do suburbanites, whining and moaning about the girl they lost in high school. Maybe the shoes they scuffed on the sidewalk.
Emo has done wonders for the "myspace" generation.
Whine about something more significant, or if you're going to whine, actually have a reason to do so, and dont make it so contrived.

I don't hate on specific genres because it's the easiest thing to ride these days. I just take what I like from all genres and listen to it. You should try it zen ;)

He might not have released wuss music, but he did put a bullet through his head. What does that tell you about his strength of character? Nothing says "give me sympathy" like offing yourself.

I doubt that, what good is sympathy to a man if he doesnt know he's getting it? Maybe in the afterlife he is looking down on us and smiling.
Anyways, he had the suicide genes.
What's It Feel Like to be a Ghost is my fav song on the album. Not as good as One-Eighty by Summer which is still my #1 TBS song.

So I've finally actually gotten around to listening to this damn CD, and it's like the only thing I've been listening to for the past 2 weeks. Can't for the life of me figure out why I took so long to give it a go.

This is a highly likely scenario.
As for favourite songs, I'm totally into Miami and Spin atm... Error: Operator was the song that got me hooked on the CD though. Like every song is golden. Except the last one and one of the middle ones.. (track 8 I think... kind of a slower one) Those 2 kind of seemed out of place to me.

Miami is stupidly fucking catchy.
