yea, I heard they were considering it, but I dunno. They got a ton of choices to make. They might take a QB cause of the Pennington scare right now.

I don't get it, how an they sign him if the draft hasn't even begun yet.

Just something the team with the first pick can do to get a headstart on everything I guess

Yeah the team with the first pick has the right to negotiate before the draft with whoever they want, helps them gauge the market or something to make sure they don't blow it I guess.

Saints are prepared to take Bush with the #2 pick. They aren't inclined to trade down but they said they'll entertain offers.

I dunno, seems like things shoulda been flip-flopped. Bush shoulda went to the Texans with Williams going to the Saints.

Also, some scout said he would think Jay Cutler would be a better choice than Leinart or Young for the Jets. Can't see that happening though, they'd be better off getting D'Brickashaw

Doesn't surprise me at all. I honestly didn't think Houston needed Bush. I really don't think the Saints need Bush either, the Titans really need a QB, the Jets could use him I guess but I really don't see how the Saints or the Titans need him.

If he is everything he is meant to be and lives up to the hype there are probably only half a dozen (maybe) backs who will be better than him once he's up to NFL speed. Depends how much people are buying into it.

good move by the texans. They really don't need a running back, and this addresses their need on defence. Very good move IMO

Yeah I think with Bush he is either gonna be great or flop. Don't see much gray area. I really don't think the Saints need him. The Titans could use him I guess because isn't their RB injury prone? They do need a QB more than RB in any event. I could see the Jets taking him if he falls that far, because even though Curtis is there, he is getting old.

Texans needed Ferguson more than Williams.

I dunno about the Saints. I mean they have Deuce (two pretty big injuries in the last few years), Michael Bennett (Mr. Inconsistency) plus Antowain Smith and Aaron Stecker, neither of whom are anything more than role players. So who knows. They might pull an Eli and trade him later I guess.

Titans have Chris Brown who is pretty injury prone and also Travis Henry, although he seemed to be suspended or inactive pretty much every week last year.

Mario Willaims got a sack(s) in 11 out of 27 games - it's not like he is a sure pick for being a good defensive end in the NFL. It's not like they where picking between a future pro bowl RB or a future pro bowl DE. Obviously, both or neither could ends up as "busts" but I think most would agree that Reggie Bush has more potential than Willaims. The Texans need to address the fans too, as well as team needs. Who is gonna put more people in the seats, Reggie Bush? Or Williams? They could have easily addressed their defensive end need by picking up Darnyl Tapp in the second round. To me, Reggie Bush is like LeBron James or Michael Jordan. Even though he has gotten a ton of hype, I'd be EXTREMELY suprised if he didn't live up to it. Sam Bowie was picked before Michael Jordan by the Portland Trailblazers because Portland didn't need a shooting guard.
