Was this guy actually any good? I was a fan when I was a little kid. BUt you don't hear or see much of him now a days. So I got thinkin', maybe he was shit.

he had a gimmick that was fairly over and recieved a decent pushes, thanks to being a friend of the Hulk's. But he was pretty shit in the ring. I thought his best stuff was real early on with the Dream Team.

Working with Greg Valentine and the British Bulldogs would me make look good!

I'll admit I marked out for him back in the day. Especially when he did the "Barber Strut." :shifty:

Yep in the 80's DVD Valentine talked about how green Beefcake was when they teamed but how he was strong and got better, He had great charisma and it got him a push and even in the Main Event at Summerslam 89. I believe he is one of the most over wrestlers that never won a singles title.

I read he was supposed to get the I-C title on 2 different occasions in 88 and 90. But they decided to go with Warrior over him when Warrior was starting to get over in 88 and in 1990 he was supposed to beat Perfect for the belt at Summerslam 90 but hard that unfortanate accident that kept him out of action for a couple of years.

The last I heard about him, he was caught with a bag of coke because someone thought it was anthrax so he admitted it was his bag of coke before the situation escalated........
