Who will win the OVW heavyweight title tonight as the epic feud between Brent Albright and CM Punk concludes in a four corners strap match?

In the first dark match featured Beth Phoenix teaming with Diva Maria (formerly Venus) against Shelly and Serena. Beth acted real scared of Shelly during the entire bout. Beth got a lot of heel heat while running from Shelly. Sosay came out and distracted the ref and Shelly allowing Beth to hit a death valley driver for the win. Shelly then challenged Shelly and Serena to a handicap match against all three of them. They went into the ring and fought for a few minutes until Diva Maria got her hair extensions pulled out and all the girls ran to the back.

Up next we had Pat Buck vs. Charles Evans. Evans dominated almost the entire match and won with a front body slam.

The TV taping starts with Mikey Batts vs. Boris Alexis. Alexis has really been getting a solid push since debuting awhile back. With his technical ability it would be nice to see him challenge Punk in the future. This was another quick squash match. He basically pounded Batts to the mat and then put on the arm bar submission he has been using as his finisher.

Deuce Domino w/ Cherry comes out next to challenge Kasey James and Roadkill for the Southern Tag team championships. Michelle McCool accompanied the champs to the ring for the first time. Before the match Roadkill got attacked and double teamed as he was entering the ring. James took most of the punishment in this match and in classic Rickey Morton fashion he got the hot tag and Roadkill came in and cleaned house with several closed fists and clothes lines. Dice then grabs one of Cherry’s skates. As Roadkill hits the death valley driver on Domino Cherry then goes up onto the apron and distracts the ref and he does not see Dice hitting Roadkill with the skate. Kasey gets attacked by Cherry and then McCool goes into the ring after Cherry. Kasey then grabs the skate and knocks out Deuce as the ref is trying to break up McCool and Cherry. Roadkill rolls over and gets the pin on Deuce and they retain the tag titles.

Jack Bull vs. Seth Skyfire for the OVW television title is next. As the match starts Bull hits Skyfire with a big boot and goes for a quick pin but Skyfie escaped. Shortly into the match Miz comes out with Seth’s girlfriend Rhoni. Seth looked very good in this match with several nice drop kicks and a well executed leg lariat. Miz then starts making out with Seth’s girl and Seth jumps out of the ring to attack Miz and they begin to brawl into the back. The ref then begins to count Seth out and Jack Bull grabs the mic and says that this is typical of Louisville demon worshipers and he also says he is a good and righteous man. He then calls Seth back out and demands a no DQ, no holds barred match for the title. He says Seth can call the time and place and he will be there. Seth then runs back into the ring and kicks Bull in the balls. He then gets a quick pin and retains the TV title.

Up next is the main event and Brent comes out as Brent “Gunner Scott” Albright. He even came out with his new wrestling tights that have Gunner down each side. Albright delayed the start of the match for several minutes as he did not want to have the leather strap attached to his wrist. The ref eventually got both men connected to the strap and the match begins. Both men worked the match very stiff and both took several shots with the strap. At one point Albright was on the second rope and Punk pulled the strap and Albright went flying into the wooden rail on the outside. Albright would later get in the ring and hit a low blow but still cant get all the corners touched as Punk continued to hang on. There were several false finishes but at the last second Punk would always prevent Albright from getting to the fourth and final corner and would extend the match. Punk then comes back and hits a knee to the face followed by a running bulldog. He hits him a few more times with the strap and then wraps the strap around Albright’s throat and chokes him. He then tapped all four corners and is the new OVW heavyweight champion. Punk ran outside and ran up on the announcers table and holds up the title to the crowd and then is attacked by Shad Gaspard as he hit him in the back of the head and then began to kick him. Shad then goes to the back and Punk gets up and holds the title up and walks out. Congratulations CM Punk.

Wasn't he supposed to be called up to WWE? Him holding the strap kind of puts that on the back burner I suppose.

It kind of makes sense to take the title off Albright, now that he is on SmackDown! and all. I actually see CM Punk holing the OVW Heavyweight Championship until the ECW thing comes about.

ECW Champion Rob Van Dam vs. OVW Champion CM Punk? That's reason #1 why this ECW thing could be a good idea.

OVW tends to give people the belt right before they get called up.Kind of like a send off for the talent out there. Then they put over whoever the next up and comer is to make them look like gold.To bad the title match was fucking horrible. There was about 3 wrestling moves used the entire match, and everything ended abruptly.
