View Full Version : What are some good PS2 Games
With my extreme loyalty to Nintendo I told myself that I would only use my PS2 to play Wrestling games since the gamecube ones weren't as good. But now I realize how retarded that is, and I would like to make more use of my PS2.
I already have GTA:SA on my PC so don't recomend that.
I'm looking for Adventure/RPG games... I'd also like to know which Final Fantasy games are good. Also, if possible try to make them "greatest hits" so I don't have to spend too much.
I'm really illiterate when it comes to Playstation gaming, since I only focus on Nintendo, so say a few words about why a game is good if you recomend it :o

Final Fantasy X = :y:
Final Fantasy X-2 = :n:
Both Katamari Games
The .HACK series is great, but you need to buy all four games to get the full effect
I hate FFX and didn't even touch X2.
Destroy All Humans
X-Men Legends/Legends 2
Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistance is a must
Xenosaga, but only if you're REALLY into stories. The second one had so many fucking cut scenes that it's two discs...
Did you ever have a Playstation 1? If not, you have the entire Playstation 1 library as well.

Kingdom Hearts 1 is awesome. Kingdom Hearts II is also mostly likely awesome.
thinking of getting FFX... infact I'll probably pick it up tomorrow, i've been a gamer since i was 5, but i've never touched an FF game...
i don't really wanna buy 4 games, so .hack is a no no
might also get MGS, but i'd need to play the first two :(
And yeah, I duno if i'd be able to handle the graphics of PSX, since i'm used to PS2/gamecube... but I really would like to play FF7

Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy in the US) is a great adventure game. Quite short though, but worth picking up.
Resident Evil 4, MGS3, Devil May Cry series are musts.
Guitar Hero is too awesome to explain, just get it.

I'll go by company if that's not a problem.
Namco: Ace Combat 5 and/or Ace Combat Zero. (Flying) Soul Calibur 2(Fighting with weapons)
Capcom: Any Onimusha (Your typical demon hack and slash) Any Devil May Cry. (See Onimusha)
Konami: Metal Gear Solid (PS1 version is a classic, sons of liberty not as good, snake eater is a great comeback.)
Square Enix: Final Fantasy. Ask someone to pick one for ya.
Eidos: Hitman 2: Silent Assassin or Hitmam: Contracts. (2 is long, contracts is short.)
There's a few others out there like Rockstar, and EA. But the ones I mentioned are the "big" companies that make classics. Good luck.:)
