In character or not, hearing him talk about how Rey Mysterio is riding the success of Eddie Guerrero was fantastic.
"I've had bigger bar tabs then you've had salaries."
"Look at Mark Henry, he does what he wants, he eats what he wants...he could eat Rey Mysterio if he wanted to."
I want to see JBL and Nash cut a promo on each other...god forbid they actually have a match, but give those two mics and let them loose for an entire show.

I agree entirely with that whole post. JBL's gold on the mic, as is Nash. They don't have the wrestling talent, but the mic talent would be enough to make people tune in.

JBL was WAY UNDERRATED as a champion. He should have been on RAW...trade him for Cena dammit. I love Cena to death, but that is exactly what his character is experiencing.

JBL will be a great manager when he retires from wrestling. (you know what I mean)
JBL only had this because Vince lets him say whatever he want. No way would he ever let a Chris Jericho or a Chavo Gyerrero say whatever they wanted. Everyone is saying how awesome Joey Styles was last Monday. Anyone who had that freedom would be getting the same praise. JBL spends too much time bashing others for no reason. Absolutely zero point of him mentioning the Blue Meanie or Lance Storm when they didn't work there nor could they get in a comeback fairly.
And just to put it into perspective, I'll paraphrase one little line - Triple-H doesn't want to work Tuesdays.
Also loved it were all the "Eddie" chants were coming in thick and fast, and JBL pipes up "See... They chant Eddies name... Not you Rey!"
Now, generally, when a heel does that, the crowd would get the idea of chanting for whoever is in the ring... But it just went quiet... Oh so quiet. Ouch

Because he nailed them. Which is deserved, but it's gonna get tiring if he keeps this up (Is this the second or third week he's said this?).
This is Eddie's title run. Rey's not worth chanting for, as Eddie did 90% of the work (Figuratively). But the fact that he called them on it, and it really seemed to resonate--That wa sawesome.
I'm guessing this is part of the attempt to try and get Rey over as Rey now...Because the heel is bringing it up, it seems like they're trying to herd people into chanting for Rey instead.
Too bad Eddie is so ingrained into this title run that you can't really pull him out without hurting Rey (I mean too bad figuratively).

I don't really care if it's Triple H and JBL doing good heel work, and it's only because they're so far up Vince's ass they could brush his teeth. I'm really getting sick of ineffective, shitty, or just boring heels, and these guys are entertaining. Sometimes, it's management's fault (Hey, let's bring up these new heels and then job them out so nobody cares), sometimes it's just the wrestler themselves (Edge is so good a heel he makes me want to turn my TV off...And I did...), and sometimes it's a combination of the two (Who the Hell books someone like Masters HEAVIER after he gets no crowd reaction), but it's been pretty shitty out there of late, and I appreciate that SOMEONE gets to do it...
...Even though it probably reinforces the idea that HHH and JBL are the only effective heels in the company's eyes...
yea it was a real waste of his talent all those years he was in that apa angle.

HHH and JBL are only getting over because of their positions in the company. And it's obvious to anyone. My brother has never been on a wrestling site that wasn't WWE.com and he and his friends (who are the only people I know who still watch wrestling) see right through it. They know there is a reason the other guys don't say what they do. Edge got over huge because he took advantage of a bad situation with Matt Hardy and got himself over. There was a simple reason Edge was the most watched champion in however long it was - He was a new good fresh face on top. People didn't want John Cena because his ring work shows in longer matches (and you can time it exactly to when he got boos) and can you imagine being sick of WWE now, turning off and coming back in 5 years to see HHH still on top?

The "Most Watched Champion" thing was based upon hits on WWE.com, and PPV ratings for the night he won (Where most people wouldn't have predicted a win).
In fact, aside from Live Sex, his champ reign was unremarkable. Nielsen's own site verified that the week after live sex, they were back to the same ratings as Cena's title run.
Seems like there isn't much validty to "most watched champion," except in KAYFABE.
And yes. I know why they're on top. That was my point. I don't much give a shit, because I'm bored of lame ass heels. Don't worry, the novelty will wear off when Triple H gets boring again.
to bad edges time as champ was not on kev nashs chart.
