View Full Version : Gimmicks that would have worked better for someone else
What gimmicks do you think would have worked better for another wrestler than they did for the wrestler they were given to?

I got into a conversation like this a few weeks ago. Who else could have had the Hulk Hogan gimmick... I seriously think that Mike Rotundo or Barry Whindam could have worn the red and yellow and hit the ring to Real American. Hell, they were half way there.

I couldn't believe the WWE seriously considered Terry Taylor for the "Mr. Perfect" gimmick
Could you picture The Red Rooster as "Mr. Perfect"

Rey Mystereo with Mark Henry's "World's Strongest Man" gimmick? It would totally work.
Seriously though, I could see Viscera totally play Henry's "Sexual Chocolate" gimmick. Simon Dean could pull off a Bodydonna's gimmick, Gregory Helms could pull off a Hurricane, though it might be a bit of a stretch. Boogeyman could pull off a Dustin Rhode's "Seven" creepy guy scaring children gimmick as long as he doesn't break kayfabe like Seven did in WCW.

Yeah, and if the "Mr Perfect" gimmick had gone to Taylor, then Hennig would have picked up the "Red Rooster" gimmick, as both gimmicks were a toss-up between the two as to who would portray which.
And if Hennig had drawn the short straw for the Rooster gimmick, then I think it would have worked.
Let's not forget, Taylor's "Red Rooster" character didn't... ahem... become a human chicken until he turned face. The original Red Rooster gimmick, which was ear-marked for either Taylor or Hennig, was that of a wet-behind-the-ears rookie, or as Bobby Heenan would say, "a little red rooster", who was the nameless face of Heenan's efforts to prove he could manage ANYBODY to success. And with Hennig at the helm, combined with Heenan, I think he could have pulled it off.

Eugene's Gimmick could of been play perfect to every little detail by....
The Warrior RawR!!!
I disagree, Eugene likes boogers. Warrior thinks that boogers don't make the world go 'round.
