View Full Version : The Draft. What if....

What if they replaced Smackdown with the ECW show? What if they put all former ECW wrestlers on the ECW show and transfered the non-ECW guys back to RAW?

Could it work? Or would it be bad having too many main eventers on RAW?

then RAW would get their asses kicked on a nightly basis

LOL!!

But seriously... ...they'd be doing what I've been longing for!? Making the WWE a whole again. None of this bullshit with a Raw Champ, and a Smackdown Champ!! No fucking WWE Champ (Company Champion), and World Champion, it makes no fucking sense...

But yeah, ECW would then kick Raw's ass, since the world would be tuning in to ECW on Free TV. (Which I doubt UPN would wanna do anyway, those bastards...)

It could work, but I am all but 100% sure it won't happen.

Because they're not smart enough to actually push ECW 100%. They just want to look like they are, without actually doing anything.

It's a ploy to suck in some of the great indy workers to make sure they don't go to TNA. Just wait and see.

How many main eventers would that really add to Raw, though? An injured Kurt Angle? An injured Batista? A part-time-working Undertaker?

I'm not seeing where Raw would be overloaded with main-eventers.

I think the main problem is that WWE would be a Cable - Only program, and they like reaching out to everyone, including the low - income crowd whom only get to watch Smackdown!, since it's THEIR brand...

ECW wouldn't get pushed 100%, as corkscrewed pointed out. Vince will still keep them down, and make them seem like the company no one should go for. He's merely using the ECW thing as a means to create a larger audience. I'm sure that those "TRUE" fans will not tune in at all...

Even if an ECW were to happen on Thursday nights, I highly doubt it would smoke Raw's ratings.

Wernt you 100% sure that DX wasn't going to return?

Normally I would scream, "They're NOT gonna merge the rosters!" but it would be interesting if they did this. But again, they won't, so there.

How does this relate to his post? He's 100% sure something won't happen, but you bring up he is 100% sure DX is coming back? I don't see ANY relation to DX and ECW predictions... In other words Harry... :foc: :foc: :foc:

Well, Ravishing Rick Rude worked in ECW at the same time he worked as DX's bodyguard.:shifty:

He was pointing out that he wasn't always right about 100% predictions. Read the posts for once.

Vengeance 2005 still had a better PPV buyrate than One Night Stand

One way or another, I hope they end this roster draft soon. ECW may be the perfect way to do it. Have every single talent that has ever competed in ECW go over there, and then some. On top of Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Psicosis, Super Crazy, Nunzio, Kid Kash, Simon Dean, Steven Richards, Vito, Joey Mercury, Rob Van Dam, Lita, Johnny Swinger, etc.; also send over Nick Dinsmore, Randy Orton, Chavo Guerrero, Matt Hardy, Gunner Scott, Johnny Nitro & Melina. This frees up significant room on your rosters.

Have the World Heavyweight Championship become the ECW Championship, whilst the WWE Tag Team Championship becomes the ECW Tag Team Championship. Have the United States Championship unified with the World Heavyweight Championship before it is won by Rob Van Dam, which leaves the WWE with only the WWE Championship, Intercontinental Championship, World Tag Team Championship, Women's Championship and Cruiserweight Championship.

The thing is ... even if they did this theyd just make it another two brands job as both are owned by WWE now anyway so to me it doesnt make a difference. I cant see them rejoining the rosters and now i cant see them taking my idea which was to use heat much like smackdown was used before it became its own brand. To continue feuds from Raw and use Velocity for Smackdown feuds. With ECW now i wouldnt be suprised if they scrapped velocity and heat:(

I'm 100% certain DX isn't reforming. There.

Honestly, I think they'd be better off replacing RAW with ECW than SmackDown. No way would the CW network let there be a two-hour hardcore wrestling show. They went bugshit when Val Venis garroted The Undertaker. Can you imagine what they'd do if they were carrying a promotion that uses staple guns, cheese graters, and barbed wire?

You can get away with that stuff on cable. Not on network.

Oh and also, we have a search feature on these here forums, I went ahread and saved you the time, though if you want to do it yourself, please feel free...I set my name as the User Name, and then made search to have the keyword search entire posts, I then had a keyword of 100% here is the direct link to the results...

http://tpww.net/forums/search.php?searchid=71977

I went through evey single one of those threads, and not once, in any of them, did I say I was 100% sure DX wasn't going to reform.

Game-Set-Match. Now make me a sandwich. When I say I am 100% sure of something, feel free to take that to the bank.

Actually...if you go through, the closest argument you could make for my not always being right on my "100% sure" predictions, is one time in a predictions thread, I believe it was Great American Bash 2005, when snakeboss made some predictions to which I replied "100% agree"...but still, never have I been wrong if I am "100% sure" it will happen, because if I am 100% sure, then there is no room for error, and if everyone would just fallow the motto that's under my name, we would all get along better.

The One

I choose to not make a "100% sure" remark about the future of DX, as I am not now, nor ever been "100% sure" about what WWE will or will not do with them. I have a hunch they will reform them, however unlike some in this thread would have you believe, I don't throw comments about being 100% sure out there unless I am...100% sure.
