Ben Rodrigues
05-08-2006, 11:38 PM
by the way, just a question for the room. when did kane lose his mask??

When he faced with Triple H for the title - the feud that was suppose to go to Bubba Ray - but went to Kane with no build up.

Corndad
05-08-2006, 11:39 PM
He lost his mask when he lost a Title Match to HHH on TV, and the first guy he attacked was RVD if I do recall.

I think the difference with this is that it's WWE's first movie under the "WWE Films" banner. So they're promoting the hell out of it.

From http://corporate.wwe.com/company/merchandise.jsp

WWE Films was established in the summer of 2002 to expand WWE’s role within the film and television business. The division creates feature film and television properties, some of which star WWE Superstars.

WWE Films first feature, “See No Evil,” stars WWE Raw Superstar Kane. It will be released theatrically by Lionsgate Films on May 19, 2006. The second film from WWE Films, “The Marine,” stars WWE Raw Superstar John Cena and will be released theatrically on September 29, 2006, by 20th Century Fox. Legendary Superstar “Stone Cold” Steve Austin has signed to appear in three WWE Films productions. The first of these, “The Condemned,” will begin shooting in May 2006. It will be released theatrically by Lionsgate Films.

Anyone reckon this whole May 19th thing could lead to a... wait for it...

Kane vs Kane feud.

Maybe it turns out that the current bald Kane attacked masked "Big Red Machine" Kane and pretended to be him for a couple of years, but on May 19th, the REAL Kane is coming back to sort out this imposter Kane. Or even that Kane has a split personality and the deranged "masked" Kane has somehow found a passage into reality to become a seperate entity!

Obviously, I realise that Glen Jacobs, the current Kane, has always played the role. But if WWE had somebody of a similar build, I wouldn't put it past them to try and recreate the original masked Kane with a new wrestler.

Let's face it, it's a ridiculous suggestion on my part, but it's no more far-fetched than some of the crap WWE has been churning out lately, and would explain why the voices in Kane's head are his own.

I've said that since he first took the mask off.,

I had it that the real Kane was taken when he started to talk. The new Kane would not talk and would just beat the fuck out of everything that moves. He feuds with "Kane" (Glenn Jacobs) and goes on to win the feud, with Glenn taking the gimmick back over.

Here's my thought process of the Foley/Dreamer thing. Funk is signed to One Night Stand II, Funk was Dreamer's "mentor". This sets up the battle of the hardcores as Funk tries to avenge Tommy by taking on Foley at ONSII

RP

Terry Funk is 80 years old. Getting out of bed is about as Hardcore as it gets for him.

HeartBreakMan2k

Funk will never retire though. I didn't say the match was going to be good, just was going to be built as "the battle of the hardcores".

Nah i'm just saying.. when i here Terry Funks name, I dont really get hyped. Honestly. Most of the ECW names do nothing for me. Most of them are older and beat up and rusty as shit. I'm not all that excited about ECW.

HeartBreakMan2k
05-09-2006, 01:06 AM
Pretty much. :( I'm excited because I'm an ECW mutant. I'm not excited because I know that ECW is dead, they've had their last hurrah and the vast majority of the talent should leave it that way.

I think it will be Dreamer (Funk) v Edge (Foley), with the legends as managers. But of course, all hell will break loose.

Again I ask why wasn't Kane acting weird last May 19th?

Maybe this tragic event happened last May 19, and that's why he was fine before.

And it's connected to his masked self somehow.

And--aw screw it. You know the secret's gonna be something idiotic. Like he had sex with Rey Mysterio last year. So he's gonna show up on SD out of nowhere on May 19 and tombstone him to hell, but not before rimming up him real good.

Xero
