View Full Version : Booker/Batty brawl?
Just checked wwe.com before going bed, looks like Books and Batista were involved in some "altercation" during a SummerSlam Commercial shoot.
So, when Batista returns [Which i thought was going to be in April anyway :(] could this lead upto a feud?
Interesting... Maybe it could either lead to a Batista/Booker match, or interference from Booker if Batty ever fights Orton [Since he still "owes" him one?] which i guess could lead upto their own feud?
Beds be calling!

Fight breaks out at SummerSlam commercial shoot
May 8, 2006
SmackDown Superstars Batista and Booker T got into a knockdown, drag-out fight Monday afternoon on the set of World Wrestling Entertainment’s SummerSlam commercial shoot in Encino, California. Director of WWE Television Promotions, John Gaburick, tells WWE.com the fight broke out during the filming of a scene in the commercial which will be used to promote SummerSlam later this year. “The fight lasted at least five minutes, it was a brutal, bloody, vicious affair,” says Gaburick. “It took JBL, Mark Henry, Chris Benoit, Finlay and road agent Ricky Steamboat to finally break things up.”
Gaburick says, “Both men were banged up pretty good, both men were bloodied up.” After the fight, Booker T and Batista went behind closed doors to try and clear the air. Gaburick says both Booker T and Batista finished their required work on the commercial before leaving the set. When asked what the fight was about, Gaburick would only say “it’s a personal issue between two men.”
The SummerSlam commercial was filmed Sunday using RAW Superstars and Monday using SmackDown competitors.

Hmm, that is interesting.

Henry reported earlier here at Rajah that according to an article posted on WWE.com, Batista and Booker T “got into a fight” during a commercial shoot for the SummerSlam PPV yesterday in Anaheim, California. We are now able to confirm that was indeed a work in order to begin building hype for Batista’s long awaited return to the ring.
Remember that WWE.com is under new management with Michael Cole overseeing operations. He has turned the official website into more of a "work" to help further build storylines. Keep this in mind when reading any "official" articles on the official WWE website. credit: PWInsider

LMAO at Cole being in charge of the site. Kinda interesting, but also a good idea. :y:

With Cole in charge this is going to be a whole new level of annoying shit from Vermaat, since we all know it's not "true" unless it's from the official WWE.com site.

Maybe Vermaat is Michael Cole?

Because it is a known fact that Cole is a homosexual, and everyone knows homosexuals love John Cena with an intense wigger fetish.

Interesting. Booker/Batista? Who'd have seen that coming?
I doubt it was real. Especially since WWE.com posted it.....

THE BOOKER-BATISTA INCIDENT WAS A SHOOT
by Dave Scherer @ 10:19:00 AM on 5/10/2006
When I first read WWE.com's story about Booker T and Batista being in a fight at a commercial shoot, I figured that the story was a work, an angle to bring the returning-from-injury Batista back into the fold. I didn't think there would be a story about it on WWE.com if it were actually a true situation. Yesterday, I started hearing that it was really a shoot and after digging around, a number of people have told me that it was.
From what I have been told, heat has been building up between Booker and Batista for a while now, largely based on the fact that during his run as the champ, Batista rubbed a lot of people the wrong way by taking the "I have carried the company on my back" and the "I have drawn all the money" attitude. The feeling is that Batista came right in and got a top spot and didn't show the others in the locker room the respect that they deserved. That never sits well with the other workers. That is what Booker was referring to in his comments on WWE.com.
I also spoke to a number of Smackdown talents who said that they were happy that Booker said and did what he did. I was told a lot of them hugged and high-fived Booker for saying what needed to be said and then backing it up with his hands.
So, at this point, it's all a shoot. I would not be surprised to see it turn into a work down the road however. As for WWE.com, from what I was told they broke the story to "scoop" sites like this one.
Looks legit guys... if it is, good for Booker!

:( And I liked Batista too.
“The fight lasted at least five minutes, it was a brutal, bloody, vicious affair,” says Gaburick.
That statement there makes me believe it's a work

The original story was supposed to say, "The fight lasted at least five minutes, it was a brutal, bloody, vicious affair, and didn't end until Booker T finally pinned Batista with a forklift and shredded his beloved Moppy using a woodchipper while other wrestlers ran over his car with a monster truck."
I think this version is a little more believable.

I don't like WWE's attempts to do worked shoots...or turn shoots into works. Ever since Matt Hardy, it has been annoying.

It's still not so much "Will it be a fued", it's more "will i fucking care".
Booker and Batista could put on a battle of Goldberg/Lesnar quality!

I don't know if it was a real fight or not, but if they do start a feud off this, I think it could be good. Both men are entertaining, and it would be something new, since I don't recall them feuding before this.
