I think the fans want the old cocky, arrogant, sexy boy from back in his DX days.

I dunno I feel that HBK does not play a good face. I liked him as a face when he came back to take on Triple H at Summerslam 2002, but now almost 2 years later HBK has gotten old and stale with this gimmick which is basically a "respect" gimmick now.

Since he's wrestling full time again I say he goes back to doing what he does best and that is being the real Heart Break Kid.

Michaels is a lot like Kurt Angle, they both suck as faces

Be a pretty cool swerve if he aligned himself with HHH again but that would mean screwing over benoit

I think he needs to be more of an Austin, anti-Hero roll. As DX, they were generally not heels, just bad boys.

While we're at it, I'd like to see some HBK merch that doesn't basically piss on Christianity.

I actually like his ultra babyface role. Its cool because he's generally pretty calm and cool, but if he needs to turn it up to sell a fued, he can. Plus, in his current role he makes a much more sympathetic face, whereas back in the day people just turned on him because he was a pretty boy smart ass.

I dont think he needs a heel turn because the fans are still into him. Plus, if he were to go heel he'd have to join Evolution in order to get noticed as a heel, and I dont think thats the best idea.

HBK, post-Mania will be the #1 (active) babyafce on RAW, so why would he want to turn heel?

Yeah, for now Michaels needs to stay face just because he is the number one babyface on Raw and the crowd is REALLY behind him. But then you have to ask yourself, don't heel turns work best when the crowd is really into a babyface? I think they do and maybe down the line a few months, Michaels can turn heel. But the problem is, if he turns heel, he probably will end up alligning himself with HHH and Evolution. Michaels wouldn't work in Evolution. There not going to turn Orton face, and keep Trips heel when they feud, so I don't really see it working. It's best to keep Michaels face so that when Orton turns against HHH, Trips will have a buddy to turn to for help. And I think that will be GREAT moment for the fans when Michaels and HHH reunite and embrace in the ring one night.

I totally agree with that scenario.

HHH and HBK together would be a huge deal, especially like you said if they did as babyfaces. The fans were really into the idea of them together before Summerslam 2002 when Hunter turned on HBK.

Plus, if you add Ric Flair to that mix, and eventually have them fued with Orton, Batsita and whoever they get to make up a New Evolution group (if that happens) then they would kinda like a young blood vs MC club deal from WCW where all these young guys are trying to take down established vets who the fans love. That fits in perfect with Orton's current gimmick.

I always seem to agree with you

Like someone mentioned hbk should stay face but more like an austin character evolution should turn face , hbk should be in a match with orton (both faces) , hhh should come to the ring as ref is knocked out appearing to attack Michaels but hits orton with the pedigree and hbk wins. At this time michaels and hhh (dx) would still be semi-faces so they would have to do something to upset fans. Also this would be a change to hhhs boring character.

Evolution led by Orton vs. De-evolution (D-generation X) led by Shawn and HHH

Great idea so it would be Orton, Flair and Batista (evolution) V De-evolution(dx) hhh hbk and ????? Who could fill the third spot ? Mr Ass? Actually I think HBK HHH and ? should be the faces cos orton flair and batista are good as heels ...

What the what now? No, man, no. Michaels needs to be the uber-face he is now. Why ruin a good thing?

If anyone needs to be heel, it's Rico. I'm not enjoying him as a face as much as I did as a heel.

**** Rico, back to this HHH/HBK thing, what would change if Vince brought in Bret Hart as a mouthpiece for Benoit. It's possible.

If there is one guy in that company other than Mick Foley that the fans just don't want to boo then it's Shawn Michaels.

So naturally, that would be the logical thing [for HHH] to do.

Anyway, if they ever do make good on this New Evolution vs "Legends" thing, it might very well be Orton, Batista, and possibly Cade and Jindrak vs HHH, Flair, HBK, and maybe Foley. Or just have HHH, HBK, and Flair battle against the odds.

Michaels need to remain a babyface on RAW. To reference what's been said above: HHH may possibly turn face down the road, and feud with Randy Orton, and that would be the perfect time for HHH and HBK to reunite and reconcile. They'd be mad over with the DX fans, nad obviously gain support from the others as well.

Not to mention a heel turn for Michaels would kill his feud with Triple H going into Wrestlemania. Since Triple H and Shawn Michaels are the focused feud for the World title match, Benoit plays the role of the "third party," and would gain more support if he won the title at Wrestlemania through an "upset, out of nowhere" victory.

i like the Triple H, HBK and Mr.Ass against Orton, Batista and Flair, because hhh, hbk and mr.ass can all work good together in the ring plus they go way back and what better to do then to have a majority of dx back to face the new evolution...?

Too bad Hall/Pac/ and Nash weren't here

It could've been The Kliq vs. Evolution

The main reason that I don't like HBK has a fan is because he was never a clean cut good guy. He always was a rebel and was at one time the cockiest SOB in wrestling. One of you guys mentioned Mick Foley and how they should never go back to being a heel. Foley wil lalways be a defenite face cause of the cheap pops and hard knocks. Even though HBK is a popular face think he's missing something. I guess being a face bad ass like Stone Cold would work pretty good.

He needs to leave his religion at door before he enters to do his job.I'm sure God would understand that this is his work and he's just playing a character.

I mean, Christianity's been used to justify so many bad things, it's hard to really say he can't be a heel because he's "found God."

That would actually be cool, but that's a Sean O'Haire type character kind of job. Better yet, maybe O'Haire can come and convince Michaels that everyone else are horrible naysayers and he needs to bring a "reformation" to the WWE. LOL
