Have'nt seen a tread like this so excuse me if this has already been done.
What current WWE wrestlers do you think would make a good showing in the new ECW?
Charlie Haas comes to mind for me. He has the look of a brawler now and looks like he could be a contender in ECW more than he could be in WWE.

Something about that Rob Van Dam guy reminds me of ECW.

Haas, Helms, Benjamin, London, Kendrick, Angle and Burchill
I havent seen guys like Eugene, Gunner Scott or the Bashams really wrestle but if they are as good as some people say then they could probably do well in ECW

Well all the former ECW guys of course. Along with a few others. Guys like Helms, Haas, and Eugene.
A guy I would really like to see in ECW would be Trevor Murdoch. I think he could be a great brawler in ECW.

Nick Dinsmore minus the eugene gimmick would be fantastic in ECW.
Most of the cruisers along with Burchill, Haas and Gunner Scott would be good in ecw as well

Heh, If Angle left Smackdown it would be total and udder crap. Even the great JBL couldn't carry it.

Pretty much anyone with talent. Seriously, they are almost guaranteed to be able to show it off in ECW. Guys like the cruiserweights, specifcally Brian Kendrick and Paul London come to mind. Paul Burchill, Hell, even William Regal. There's Charlie Haas, Nick Dinsmore, Rob Conway, Doug Basham and The Damaja. OVW graduates with a ton of potential.
I could really go on and make cases for guys all day. Basically anyone with talent that is currently doing nothing in the WWE (*cough*Jamie Noble*cough*) or anyone with talent a shitty gimmick.
I dont know why but Snitsky seems a good fit for it.

I think Eugene and Burchill should do a shoot promo and break character like Joey did and quit WWE, and then join ECW.
I don't know about Burchill (after all, he has the easy way out of the gimmick), but I'd LOVE to see Eugene do a worked shoot and just go off on them making him play a retard and having it lead to him taking pills. Of course that isn't 100% true, but they could work off the drug story from a while ago.

i agree with what a lotta you are sayin but ECW isnt the only thing you still gotta leave some talent for the WWE including a cruiserweight division, you can't have everyone with talent go to ECW.

Edge, Kendrick/London, Mysterio, Simon Dean, Haas, Mickie James...

(insert random list of midcarders here). Yep, they'd all be awesome in ECW.

I still think they should move the cruisers to ECW. Have Super Crazy win the belt from Helms, then jump to ECW. Heyman turns it into the new TV Title. Then he issues an open contract invitation to any of the WWE cruisers to come over and be allowed to work "their" style of match.
A ton of the WWE cruisers are ECW alums anyway. Having Crazy, Psicosis, Kid Kash, Nunzio, et al jump to ECW would cripple the cruiser division, so just bring Helms, Chavo, and company over, too.

I think ECW should be the place for guys who are established in the smark/internet fanbase, but isn't neccesarily over with the casual fan. Sending Nick Dinsmore there would be logical, as well as Jamie Noble. London/Kendrick should stay in Smackdown, in my opinion. William Regal would be an interesting ECW wrestler.
And, I'm going to pull an Alienoid here, I think Val Venis should go to ECW. If they allowed him to go extreme with his gimmick, I think he'd get over with the crowd.

If he is half of the brawler his dad was than he would be great in that role.

Just remember, if ECW were to die a few weeks after his debut, it wasn't his fault.

Dammit! Even the new guys can take shots at me! I hope you stick around, because you know what you're talking about.
Val Venis in ECW would be interesting. If he were to go there, though, I'd have him snap character (much like a lot of people are suggesting Nick Dinsmore should) and shoot all over the WWE. Just have him talk about how he picked the WWE over WCW, settling for less money, and the WWE fucked him over. Have him call himself Sean Morley and let him actually wrestle in ECW.
Another idea would be to resurrect his "Steel" gimmick from Puerto Rico, and have him do double duty in WWE and ECW.
I personally think they should end the draft after ECW comes along. I mean, seriously, I can see the WWE benefitting majorly from this. Of all the WWE Superstars that could go over to ECW, I would only make it a few.
Nick Dinsmore, Johnny Nitro, Melina, Matt Hardy, Randy Orton (I am being serious), Chavo Guerrero and Brent Albright. You will also loose Rob Van Dam, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Super Crazy, Psicosis, Johnny Parisi, Nunzio, Vito, Kid Kash, Steven Richards, Simon Dean, Lita and Tazz due to their prior ECW association.
The brand which seems to get really damaged by this is SmackDown!, specifically its undercard. I really think it would be no problem if the WWE unified the brands.
The Tag Team Division would consist of Paul London & Brian Kendrick, The Spirit Squad, The Gymini (now sans Simon Dean), Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch, Goldust & Snitsky and Funaki & Scotty 2 Hotty. Bring Doug & Danny Basham back in. Sean O'Haire & Chuck Palumbo could help the division as well. Worst comes to worst, reunite The World's Greatest Tag Team.
The primary Cruiserweight Division would consist of Gregory Helms, Shannon Moore, Jamie Noble and Akio. These men all know each other from WCW. Bring in Mikey Batts, who can add some TNA-style action. Offer Frankie Kazarian a major place in the division (he doesn't seem to be doing anything these days), and you always have Funaki, Scotty 2 Hotty, Paul London and Brian Kendrick sitting on the outside, ready to put over whoever is Cruiserweight Champion in a nice showing. Tony Santorelli would make a nice addition as well. The WWE could offer contracts to Matt Sydal, Jack Evans and Teddy Hart as well. There are no issues with replacing the Cruiserweight Division.
