There was a dark match before Judgment Day last night that saw Matt Hardy defeat Simon Dean.
Mike Johnson reports that Joey Mercury will be taking some time off to deal with personal issues.
There is talk of moving Melina and Johnny Nitro to Raw.
Dave Meltzer reports that there has been talk backstage of a John Cena vs. Umaga match for Summerslam.
Johnson reports that there is talk of giving Mark Henry the World Title instead of JBL so that JBL can be moved to Raw. Johnson says that JBL has told people he would like to retire within the next year or so but before he does retire there are some people on Raw like HBK that he wants to work with first.

Jesus fucking Christ. :nono:
I don't know what would be worse, John Cena vs. Umaga or Mark Henry vs. Rey Mysterio for the SummerSlam main event...

John Cena vs Umaga easily

With Mysterio needing knee surgery soon, I suppose he will job out to Henry on an episode of Smackdown, I can't imagine they would drag him out on a bad limb until the Great American Bash in July. So my projection for the Smackdown Summerslam main event is Mark Henry v Angle or Henry v Batista.

It's a toss up. If both these matches happen, it will be the worst summer slam in history.

But I must say, this would be a good time for WWE to put the World Title on Booker T.

Henry isn't that bad. I'm not saying I'd put the title on him, but he and mysterio have put on good matches before. Booker T is a better choice though.

On Booker T:
I don't think he's championship material, as he is getting up there in age, but concerning Smackdown, he is the best there is right now. Undertaker's never around, the roster's full of guys who are way too old for a championship run.(Tatanka, Road Warrior, Finlay, etc.) A lot of young guys with plenty of potential for championship runs don't yet have the overness to make the belt more than Rey does (Lashley, Hardy, Burchill...) and would take a lot of time to give them a proper push. The only other options are Batista and Benoit. Batista's still a bit away from his return, and Benoit is in a program "mentoring" Gunner Scott. Booker T could make a decent transitional champion for Batista's return, but with Rey's short championship run, I doubt having two transitional champs is what Smackdown really needs now.
A better option may be to give Gunner and Benoit a manager, and give the three of them a big stable push. Benoit could easily look like a contender for the championship again, plus with the stable behind him a championship run may be a little more interesting this time. The manager could act like a bad influence on the two. He could motivate them to do more drastic and heelish things to help them boost their success. When they're ready to give Benoit his big push for the championship, give him an in-ring moral choice to make. He chooses the dark side, and we then have a program for the title.

I can't decide which is worse... Henry or Rey as champ...
JBL on Raw though, that would be worth it i think.

They need to turn Benoit heel and give him the World Title. (:

maybe Benoit vs. Booker vs. Rey?
Nah I'm dreaming, WWE would never put 3 talented people in the same match

What better way to mentor someone than by showing them how to win a world title.
TBH if they make Mark Henry champion I will stop watching. No-one cares but I will.

Skippy, JBL is the man on the Mic. Raw is mostly Mic work now a days... It's pure entertainment.

Why the fuck would the WWE choose to put the title on Mark Henry over King Booker T? KBT has just won the King of the Ring, winning the World Heavyweight Title would make it look like something precious. Bobby Lashley has even more of a program going with Finlay right now, so Booker is freed up.
Mark Henry beat Kurt Angle via countout, and he has a band playing for him on SmackDown!. Whoopdeefuck. If Henry is given a World Title run over Booker T, I will shit all over SmackDown!. Not even Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Val Venis or Doug Basham could save that shit for me. I actually like Mark Henry, but it is debatable if he could handle a United States Title run. Fuck, just have Henry turn face, get his band to play for him as he beats JBL for not getting the job done against Rey. Booker T wins the World Title, Booker beats Henry. Problem solved.
Henry won't take the belt into Summerslam. If he wins it (which will be this week on SmackDown! if ever), he will drop it at The Great American Bash to Batista. Mark Henry vs. Batista is not going to get me to order The GAB, though. Booker T vs. Batista? FUCK YES~!

Why don't they skip the suffocation and get straight to the death by having Umaga fight Mark Henry to unify the titles?

He's retarded enough to think the nominal improvements are a new thing, and that hopping on after one or two good Raws means that things are turning around, instead of WWE needing to up the dosage for the staff.

Beacuse dumb ass, that would make sense. (this was a bad week to try and get back into WWE, but the ECW shit on raw def got me hooked again somewhat.)

No, Rob's not jobbing. Since ECW is coming back, they need a way to bring in titles. Rob beats Cena, then at ONS or at RAW the next night he will probably throw it down and declares himself the ECW champion.
