does any ever has both members go on to success in there singles career (eventually)? E&C are the only ones I can think of. I guess the Hardies too (maybe).

I don't know if you'd count HBK and HHH as a real tag team.

I would say the Hollywood Blondes because I think if Pillman didnt die he would of went on to have a lotta success.

Yeah, but we're talking about BOTH member's having success after the team.
That case is tricky, cause Ron Simmons had great success before the team and JBL after.

WCW basically threw them together because they had nothing for both of them and basically said, "go do whatever" and they made the gimmick work perfectly. All the ideas for the gimmick (the custumes, the poses, the interviews) were all Austin and Pillman's. They were the hottest heel team in the industry at that point. They were definately a real team. WCW management just didn't like them to much so they split them up.

Triple X. Christopher Daniels went on to greatness, Elix Skipper somehow got lost and ended up with Simon Diamond. Kick ass tag team none the less.

I think something like the roster split may be the best thing for tag team splits.
I wouldn't discount The World's Greatest Tag Team, yet. Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas are both at IC Title level, and will probably commence feuding for that belt. I also expect big things for MNM.

In WWE hasn't it been in most cases one goes to onto superstar-dom whilst the other fades away into mid card obscurity? Case and point -
The Hart Foundation, The Rockers, The APA, B-Squared and Cena, Edge and Christian (Christian was never given a shot in WWE) and so forth.

Diesel & Shawn Michaels - They were a very legit team and both went on to have incredible careers.
Rock'N'Sock were already established, but they both have good single careers. Outsiders also fall into that catagory.

Hmm... I agree with you completely on Michaels/Diesel - but The Rock N' Sock Connection in my eyes were just two main eventers thrown together to form a superteam.

You could consider The Rock N' Sock Connection but they were both already main eventers before becoming a team.

Hulk Hogan and Edge......

I dont think that Hogan guy did anything. He kind of vanished, but Edge had the WWE title, so I think Edge was the only successful one that came out of that team...

How about the mega-powers? If you can include the Rock N Sock Connection, you should be able to include the Mega-Powers.

Scott Hall and Curt Henning teamed up before they got sucess in the AWA and won the tag titles. Then they split up and eventually became stars.

I dont really think you should count teams where both members were already main event stars before they teamed together or teams who were just thrown together because their both faces or heels.

Yeah, that firing lasted a LONG time. Like a month, because Foley main evented WrestleMania that year.

The best example really is the Blade Runners (Sting and Warrior)
You could maybe consider the U.S. Express, although Windham still outshone Rotunda's singles career.
And even though they were both established before teaming up, the Allied Powers both moved on to bigger and better things after splitting (Luger became a top player in WCW from 1995 onwards, even capturing the WCW World title and eclipsing his previous success, and Davey Boy Smith was at the top/main event of the WWE picture, receiving several World title matches along the way, until the Montreal screwjob effectively finished his career as a top liner.)

Point being that he never really left, and went on to main event WrestleMania after breaking up with Rock and Sock. Sounds pretty successful to me.

Dude Mankind was champ 3 times before rock and sock, Many don't consider Rock and Sock a real team, He only wrestled one match.

True, but Rebellion was a UK PPV so having Davey Boy in a prominant position was a no-brainer, and his 6-Pack match was diluted by 5 other main eventers, plus the novelty of his return/exploitation of having a "Hart Family member" on board after the Screwjob/death of Owen Hart debacles. Truth is, Davey Boy's TRUE main event days were over in 1996, and any claims to being a top liner of any variety ended in Montreal.

Yeah but Edge and Christian are in that same category. Christian is still in the IC title hunt if he stays in WWE.
