Surely I'm not the only person looking forward to this game being released?

For those of you who don't know, you play an assassin named simply 47. You are contacted through a woman called Diana, who gives you hits to carry out.

Blood Money is the forth title in the series and looks amazing. The demo has been out on PC for a couple of days but a PS2 demo has been out for awhile and I'm really impressed with it.

A number of things have been added, you can now push people (either around, into things or off high places), the camera has been reworked to, loads of other things have been added. It is just stupidly fun to play and try and work out a perfect way to kill your target.

Game comes out on Friday here, but I should have my copy tomorrow :D

Here is a list of new stuff they have added, so awesome:

- New Features (listed in chronological order)
- Updated 'Glacier' engine, with 'parallax normal mapping', 'refraction based effects' and 'rigid body dynamics'.
- Ability to push characters, sometimes off of great heights.
- Free Roaming Camera.
- 128 Ratings compared to the 30 in Contracts
- Newspaper/Noriety ratings.
- Hiding bodies in dumpsters or carts.
- AI will now notice weapons on the ground and follow blood trails to bodies.
- Many modifications to 47's 5 principle weapons.
- Holding people hostage.
- Close combat moves. Head Butt comfirmed.
- Ability to hide your weapon behind your back or inside your coat from enemy view.
- Save function will remain the same.
- No kids at all and no female targets.
- 18+ Mature Rating.
- Ability to toss weapons over metal detectors if no one is watching.
- A blazing battle has been mentioned for the final level.
- Hundreds of newspaper variations depending on how the hit was preformed
- You'll need to buy new identification if your noriety gets too high.
- Paying to silence witnesses to your crimes.
- Certain gun modifications will make the weapon impervious to metal detectors.
- A high noriety rating will make newspaper articles and posters of 47's face in the next mission. The newspaper articles are detailed to the point of telling you how many shots were fired (will most likely take the place of the rating we're used to).A new crowd system that allows 3000-4000 fully 3D-modeled and functional entities to be in a level. That means 47 can attack/interact with any of these characters at will.
- A new "rookie" rating is in the game that simply reduces artificial intelligence in your enemies.
-47 can also climb fences, ledges, ladders, and into the ceiling compartments of elevators.
- Objectives are divided into primary, secondary and tertiary priorities with targets of opportunity appearing in a small box in the left corner to notify you.
- Leaving 47's normal attire, his briefcase, sniper, or trusty ballers on the scene will have a negative effect on your rating. "IO's system is great. It tracks and tallies everything you do, incorporating your actions into a global system that rewards and/or punishes you for your deeds or misdeeds."
- Knife throwing (a debated issue among the forum) has now been confirmed from the trailer.
- Bullet holes have been confirmed.

The only thing that I heard blows on this game is the save system. You could save anytime during the mission, but once you shut down the console, you lose it. Other than that, looks beautiful.

Got the game this morning. The manual is hilarious, it has lots of pictures showing you the different actions you can do, which are pretty funny.

Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaah

On the first mission I ended up with the Killing rating after it went abit tits up towards the end. Second mission I got Silent Assassin rating and on the third I got Hoodlum.

It also came with a demo of Urban Chaos, which is a pretty hot game too.

I read that you have to hide evidence, like CCTV tapes etc. True?

I played the demo of this on the 360 last night. Don't think it did the game justice as it was a training mission and held your hand all the way through it.
Will probably pick this up somewhere along the line though.

Yup. You also have to retrieve evidence in some hits, like the one I'm on at the moment.

Loads of people have been slating the game after playing the demo but they forget that it's just a tutorial level.

In the actual missions there is so much you can do. One instance, I could either shoot a couple of FBI agents or poison them using dounuts and poison, or just blow the shit out of them etc etc etc.

Did Eidos load it up with more levels. Or was it short and easy just like Contracts?

There are about 12 missions or so. It get really difficult later on if your going for the Silent Assassin rating.

I played it last night at my cousins place, love the custom weapons and pushing, that's how I got the guy on the first mission, pushed him over, that was cool, the guard sitting nearby didn't even notice

Pushing people down the stairs is probably the greatest addition to the series (well at least one of them)

There is one mission where you have to *SPOILERS* get a microfilm from a necklace a woman is wearing. The first time I did it I just killed her by knifing her in the neck, but the second time I did it I saw her walking around a swimming pool and just pushed her in, which somehow knocked her out, but let me get it microfilm without killing her :D

I like how when you push them on the stairs they fall face first and die mad easily.

BTW disturbed try rigging the BBQ in stead of killing her in the pool.

I got it a while back but my Ps2 is completely screwed. It froze just as I was heading to the end of the Wine celler type mission. I had done it perfectly to. Not played my Ps2 since.

Yeah that is always fun. The rag doll physics is pretty sick on the explosions.

Yeah, Requiem was an amazing level, if you could call it that. The Punisher game has a similar level to that, which is also amazing to do.

Yeah, New Orleans pissed me off to no end, but after a couple of run throughs I managed to do it.

The only mission that gave me problems was "A dance with the devil". Other than that I had fun with the game. Only problem with it was that is was too short. I mean sure you could build another game off the ending of this one, but make it worth my 60 dollars.

A dance with the devil was amazing I thought, wasn't really hard once you got on top of the lift.

It was great, don't get me wrong. The part that pissed me off the most was stuffing the CIA agent's body in the bathroom stall and moving him around just right so the door would close to the stall.
