That's a shame.
He and JBL were a good team.
why would they release him now when half of smackdown is hurt?
why would they release him now when half of smackdown is hurt?
Was a bi angle really going to bring SmackDown! back to life?

I have info from an inside source that says it would. :shifty:
fact is oj is a talented wrestler and he would be good in tna
Kane Knight
05-26-2006, 02:10 PM
Well, except for Vito.
We don't know Vit's gay. I mean, just because a prop wrestler puts on a dress...
...Fuck, he's gay.
My Final Heaven
05-26-2006, 02:10 PM
awww, I feel bad now. I've sorta been a OJ mark since he debuted. He's the kind of guy where he doesn't get a lot of attention on the roster, but theres a hole in it when he leaves. :(
Blitz
05-26-2006, 02:11 PM
That hole will quickly be filled by Vito.
PorkSoda
05-26-2006, 02:11 PM
He was useless.
That hole will quickly be filled by Vito.
I hope there won't be a hung jury when they reveal Vito's better half.

I never saw anything special in him, so aside from the slight sympathy I have towards wrestlers who are fired who don't seem to have any backstage flack, I don't really care.

At first I thought the title of the thread was referring to Val Venis.
Never cared much for OJ but never minded him either. Eh.

I guess it was reported that O.J pissed off Vince and other officials by having an unauthroized person backstage and on the road with him , whatever that means

The greatest memory of OJ i have....
SummerSlam vs Benoit and lost in 20-some odd seconds

Then we better get rid of Triple H, he always brings his bitch along.
Lucy, on the other hand, loves being backstage and has always been welcomed.

PWInsider reports that the release of Orlando Jordan had been expected by some within the company before WWE.com made it official this afternoon.
Jordan was scheduled to wrestle Tatanka at this week's Smackdown tapings in California, but was pulled out of a pre-show meeting and sent from the building by WWE management. Apparently Jordan had extremely upset WWE officials, including Vince McMahon, for having an unauthorized person with him on the road and backstage at events.
UmbrellaCorporation

Pity this isn't a work.
They could've had the unauthorized person be OJ's boyfriend or something.

Oh well... I liked him, but it ain't really that big a deal.

That's Kanyon's gimmick.

I thought KAnyon's gimmick was getting fired for mentioning he's gay every 5 seconds.
crash99
05-26-2006, 07:59 PM
It is, but the only reason you don't see him on the WWE tv or TNA tv is because he is still waiting for the best money offer from either company to properly showcase how the gimmick should work.

I hear WWE upped their bid to $12.50
TNA rebuttled with $12.51 9/10ths.

crash99
05-26-2006, 09:02 PM
It's too stupid of an idea for them to drop it. They only drop good ideas. Plus, it'll entertain Vince and the writing crew, and thats all they really care about entertaining anyway.
Kane Knight
05-26-2006, 09:34 PM
What do you mean? They don't run with bad ideas.
I defy you to name one...Besides the Spirit Squad, the Boogeyman, Cena as a babyface, making Rey Champ, Rey losing his WM title shot, Rey being RR winner with no intent to take him to Mania, The Great Khali, pushing Mark Henry...

Talent Management: Fans are calling for the release of a Smackdown star
Vince: Who is it?
Talent Management: His contract was supposed to be up this yr and fans get bored with him and hes an African American.
Vince: (thinking) Well it cant be Booker T and it sure as hell cannot be Mark Henry! It has to be OJ.

My roommates and I quoted that movie all year, lots of drunken viewings.
We came up with the belief that he is the quickest most-hated guy in the history of movies. He opens his mouth and everyone hates him

Finlay's leprechaun had me laughing my ass off last night.
I'm not saying it's a good idea, but it sure as fuck amused me for 45 seconds.
I'm going off the assumption that it's going to hold him back, not entertainment value.

Spirit Squad is still awesome. They'll just kill off any heat they have in the next 2 months.

ROFL, yes!
That looked horribly rough the way Finlay was using him as a weapon. Feelings? Nope, not for midgets! :D
crash99
05-27-2006, 07:14 PM
Finlay's leprechaun could fall into the category of entertaining crap for a few weeks, but I mean really how long will it entertain before it gets stupid. Probably not too long. They have an established star with a unique style, who could actaully have some entertaining feuds, as long as they let him be himself, but I guess that was too much to ask.
Kane Knight
05-27-2006, 07:24 PM

Yeah, really. I mean, throwing him with near disregard.
I think this will be like Boogeyman though. It will be amusing for about 3 weeks, then only hardcore Netards will like it.
Mr. Nerfect
05-28-2006, 12:18 AM
It would have been funnier if Steven Richards had come from under the ring and attacked Burchill. Random Richards Ring Attacks = Ratings.
Orlando Jordan had the talent, but he was stuck as being a suck-up heel with no one to suck up to. Orlando Jordan should have really turned face earlier this year. Unfortunately, this isn't an ability issue, as OJ has rubbed people backstage the wrong way.
TNA would be smart to pick OJ up. The guy can be an adequate mid-carder, with potential to move up.
