My brother left the comp in fuckin shambles. I need a free virus locator/remover of some sort. My home page is being high jacked, I can't delete them, shit like that. So far the comp isn't slowing down or anything, but I need to remove these bastards NOW.
Any help would do well on the matter.
AVG, and also run a spyware program like ad-aware.

Yeah, G's right. AVG + Ad-Aware is a great combo.
You should be able to find them both on Google quite easily. If you're not convinced, check out some of the reviews. Far more people use them than I originally thought.

:D!!!
If it worked as well for you as it did for me, you should be a-okay in no time.
BTW, does anyone know where I can BUY a phone? ;)

Ad-Aware's been removing a bunch of files but I don't think the nasty stuff is gettng bothered at all. My home page is still hacked.
Is it possible I you could give exact links to the ones you guys use?
Also, I can't find a free AVG to download.

Does that work for you? I think that's where I got mine from, actually.
If by some small miracle AVG doesn't find and fix what's ailing you, give Spybot a whirl. In my experience (dunno about anyone else's), there have been a few (not too many, but there are some) occasions where Spybot has picked up something that Ad-Aware didn't. It's a rarity, but with those three things, plus a Trojan Remover, I stand relatively clean on this particular computer.

Try Spybot: Search and Destroy in combination with the other two. That should remove just about everything.
Spybot isn't that good, honestly. Ad-Aware is good but it still misses things.
AVG is probably your best bet for a free virus program and, as of right now, I would use Spyware Doctor for spyware.
If that doesn't work, search google for HijackThis and run a scan/save log. Post the log on here so it's easy to see what's doing the damage.
