One of the most underrated managers of our time. Probably the greatest ever. I think people forgot about him cause he's black.

I think Slick was so close to being Samuel L. Jackson before Samuel L. Jackson was Samuel L. Jackson. Just not named Samuel L. Jackson. Slick instead.

Man this guy was great..

Holy cow!

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. "

SLICK!!!!!! There's a fucking name I haven't heard in forever! This guy ruled. He was at his best when he was managing Butch Reed, Akeem and Boss Man. His theme song alone would've made him a star today

"You're a jive soul bro, a jive soul bro, and you always lie to your friends, you're a jive soul bro, a jive soul bro, and you never get nothing in the end."

Or something like that. I don't know, I was pretty young when he was at ringside.

I remember a match years ago with roddy piper commentating, can't even remember who was in the match but some guy was tossed outside the ring and slick had one of his shoes off to hit the guy, he was sneaking round the corner of the ring and you hear piper giving it something like this:

"ooh what we got here, look at dis here man, oooh baby" in some kinda fucked up jamacian accent, i was in fits of laughter, just seemed to be a sort of voice over that fited the situation.
