Beavis was a moron. Butthead gave the show a sense of common sense and intelligence that Beavis clearly lacked. I mean, what kind of respectable person is named Beavis?

They're equally stupid, but when Beavis becomes The Great Cornholio, the man is a fucking genious. He could've been the next great religious figure of the 20th century if MTV had just given him a fuckin' chance.
