Major ECW PPV Spoilers; Big Surprises Planned
Source: WrestlingObserver.com
Rob Van Dam will not be carrying John Cena's WWE Title to ECW, so whether it's at the PPV or on RAW the next night, Cena will end up on top. There will likely be a disputed finish during tomorrow's match.
If anyone can find the actual article to post, I'd appreciate it. I saw this on the GameFAQs PW board, and a lot of people are ranting and raving over it.
If it's true, somehow I'm not surprised. Doesn't mean I'm not disappointed though. :'(
Note that nothing was said about Sabu though...Maybe we're seeing the end of the brand split?
I don't see it on the site. Whenever you see something from GameFAQs NEVER take it as real unless you confirm it from the original source. They're lying assholes over there, and that's why I've never been a member. (I've seen MANY other people on other forums cite GameFAQs as legit.)
Still, though, it's completely possible.

Well, like I said, I dunno where it is, if it's there.
No one seems to be calling BS, even the serious posters, so take it with a grain of salt, I'd say. The sad thing about it is that this seems completely plausible. :(

Big surprises planned? What's so surprising about Cena overcoming the impossible odds and retaining?

Saw that on another site, I think it was Pwrestlingnews.com.

Yeah, considering the way Cena's been booked, this isn't a very big spoiler.

The original source could be:

"Cena can't lose, because it messes up Vengeance. As far as a match goes, RVD will be able to do no wrong and Cena no right, so even if the match is sloppy, the heat will be off the charts. (unless they do Van Dam winning, then losing it back on Raw the next night in the disputed ending)."

Fuck that. I ain't paying money to see a WWE hack go over on an ECW PPV.

Woah woah woah. Wait a minute. There's an ECW PPV tonight? Could have sworn it was a WWE PPV.

Looking at the lineup, I woulda sworn the same thing, but I'm told it's ECW.

This is gonna be very interesting. If Cena retains, then he won't just be booed out of the building, he's gonna be crucified. And it is still technically an ECW ppv, so a WWE guy should not go over.

Since when's that ever stopped anything?

I really hope they do the sensible thing and let RVD win...only to throw the title back down and claim that he doesn't want that crap. He is then proclaimed the new ECW champion while Cena can still hold the WWE Title on Raw.
Even if Van Dam doesn't win (which he probably won't, I've heard Sabu is going over), if there is one "Fuck you Cena" or a similar chant loud and long enough to visibly bother him, the night will be perfect.
And if there is a Wigger chant I'll mark the fuck out.
ecw died a long time ago an vince can not bring it back, it is like him bringing back nwo wcw or dx.

if sabu wins they might as well close up shop at smackdown, that will kill ticket sales at there house shows.

I heard he was gonna heel turn after retaining at ONS2. But given the position RVD is in with the fans, it looks unlikeley. Unless Cena jumps to ECW, but the chances of that are slim/none.

someone joined the vince kiss my ass club if you think that is the ecw of 6 years ago you are drinking vinces kool aid. ecw of 6 years ago is dead and buried an will never come back.

Knowing the WWE writers, they will try to put Cena over as a face or something and RVD as the heel. I am still not sure whether to order, cause if I want to see Cena winning vs "impossible odds" then I can watch Raw every Monday Night. I think RVD really needs to go over somehow, but as people above said, just have him throw down the WWE title.

Couple of endings that I have seen people bring up. Not sure if discussed on here before.
1, RVD is about to win when Edge comes out of nowhere, spears RVD and Cena wins. It turns out Edge doesn't want to wrestle for the ECW title that he is the number 1 contender for.
2, Lame double pin thing. Then RVD gets out the ECW belt and declares himself champion.
Knowing the WWE writers, either are possible.
If the WWE could have gotten Rhino, and they had him come out and screw RVD out of the championship it would have been the best fucking thing to happen in YEARS.
Just imagine, Van Dam hits a Five Star, rolls through and gets up dazed when Rhino comes in and hits a Gore on him. Rhino pulls Cena over to Van Dam and pins him.
Rhino then goes on a promo about how it didn't matter if Van Dam won the WWE championship, because he was in ECW now. Heyman then comes out and makes a match between the two right then and there for both the ECW and TV championships, winner gets the world title and loser gets the TV title.
It wouldn't matter how they booked the finish as long as they both walk out with a title.

You know what, knowing Vince, the match will end in a DQ:shifty:
No, knowing Vince, he'll come out, ring the bell Montreal_style and fire Heyman legit right then and there.

Ha, nothing would shock me with Vince. Then puts Shane in charge of ECW and we get to see hosses wrestle every Tuesday Night and get fed old ECW wrestlers to job to them.
No, Vince wouldn't put Shane in charge, he'd drop the entire ECW thing and just run "Mr. McMahon's Greatest Ass Moments" every week for thirteen weeks.

 :(
Yep, nothing would shock me with Vince. Maybe have Cena go over with the FU, then RVD taps in the STFU.
[Vince Mcmahon]Well, RVD still got over with his EXTREME tapout and the EXTREME look on his face as he was tapping.[/Vince Mcmahon]
