We can confirm that beyond the announced crew for tonight’s ECW One Night Stand PPV, Eugene and former TNA diva Trinity are both backstage at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. credit: PWInsider

Either we see the rebirth of Nick Dinsmore or Eugene is going to get killed by someone.

Man, this could make for a mark out segment, especially if Heyman handles it.

Eugene's music hits and he comes out all gimmicked, with his jacket buttoned up (still inside out, of course). He gets in the ring and gets on the mic. He'll do something like "I LOVE ECW!" and mock some of the guys. Then, he breaks character by saying something like "Yeah, I bet you were expecting a promo like that. Good old retarded 'Eugene'. Well I'M FUCKING TIRED OF IT! I AM NICK FUCKING DINSMORE (he rips off the jacket, revealing an ECW shirt) AND I AM A WRESTLER! NOT A SPORTS-ENTERTAINER!"

He could (work-)shoot on how playing the retarded character led him to drugs and rehab and that Heyman said that he (Eugene) was better than what he was getting.

I look at it this way. Short of putting him under a mask and gimmicking him even more than he is, the ONLY way he's getting out of the retard gimmick is if they runs a worked-shoot about them forcing him to do it.

And with ECW returning, and with ONS being in an ECW arena, there is no better place than tonight to do it.

I could see that happening, and it would be truly awesome. Besides I'd like to see him in ECW, as he will never be anything on RAW especially with his gimmick, so give him a fresh start.

Bingo on what Xero said. That would be awesome. Plus, it would give ECW one of them wrestlers they could build into a superstar.

Oh man, the WWE has fucked Nick Dinsmore over big time. To be honest, I see him playing the Eugene character for the rest of his career. Why couldn't they have had Eugene sit at ringside for the match and then have him cost Cena the match instead of Edge? Seriously, it's fucked up, One Night Stand pretty much solidified Nick Dinsmore in the "Eugene" role. Even in ECW's universe, the guy is a retard.

Plus The Sandman's generic music basically made him seem like a retard. They really shouldn't have gone through with this segment. Eugene turning into Nick Dinsmore would have blown what actually happened out of the water.

Trinity will probably engage in a series of matches with Jazz, but until they get more women's wrestlers (I see a lot of female indy talent being signed) I don't see a point to her being in ECW and not on RAW. There are no face women left on RAW (please WWE, please don't give Torrie Wilson a match at Vengeance), so Mickie James vs. Trinity would actually be pretty sweet. Maybe let her try and claim the Women's Title for ECW? That way you have Trinity in ECW, and you have a decent woman on RAW for the next few weeks.
