In order to maintain his character, Vito has been wearing a dress (http://pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=18617&p=1#) anytime he's in the public eye while traveling (http://pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=18617&p=1#) for WWE, including the airports and hotels (http://pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=18617&p=1#). Seriously. I've been told by several that if that decision has bothered him, Vito hasn't shown it in the least, acting like he's fine with the idea and having fun with it

The whole wrestler-in-a-dress gimmick has been done to death. Vito, Droz, Saturn, Harvey Wippleman, Headbangers, Goldust.... probably forgetting a load.

I agree this is a bogus enforcement. Glen Jacobs was always allowed to go into public maskless. Press conferences and whatnot, that's another story; you keep the character, b/c you're plugging the show. But your life is your life. The situation is similar with Nick Dinsmore, although I'd see his kayfabe as a bit more extreme.

Several people were told to keep in Kayfabe outside of the "business." That included both Eugene and the chick with the Star Trek prop on her face. Though it is a good question: What gimmick would be the more damaging to keep outside of WWE? Retarded, or Trans?

My bad, I coulda sworn he was once European champion, but I now realise he was feuding over that title, and probably would have had a swing with it, when he broke his neck.

Anyway, just because all (or most) of those guys have held titles, doesn't mean that the dress gimmick works.
