Yes losing to Rey Mysterio in a good match is somehow equal to losing to a person who wrestles 3 times a year in a bad match.
LOL, if Mysterio lost to Helms I would have solid proof that the WWE is burying Rey purposely.

Of course, by having Helms lose to Mysterio, the writers also buried the CW title even deeper.

Wait, who's Helms? And what's a CW title? :shifty:
Jees you'd think the next thing they were planning to do is let Mysterio have a title run.

A credable title run where he has nothing but 5 star matches with top talent.

So...you complain that Rey's not a "believeable" champ...(The term "you" being a generalization of the TPWW public)
and then you complain when Rey loses "realistically" to the guys that are literally 5 times his sive. So which is it? I mean, wether you like Rey as champ or not...if you're forced to write him as such, how would you do it? Have him "unbelieveably" beat every challenger, or have him "realistically" crushed by the monolithic opposiition?

Fuck, putting Rey as the opening match is burial enough.

Afterlife, it's putting Rey against giants constantly that kills his credibility. Of course there's no other outcome than being beaten, so why bother putting him in with Mark Henry, Great Khali, Kane, et al? They can have him defend the title without losing to giants. Maybe people around the size of Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, etc.

I understand that. But the names of credible contenders on SD is shrinking like mad. Benoit's on hiatus, Kurt is in ECW, Orton got the boot to Raw, Batista is on leave, Kennedy hasn't had a US run yet, Booker and Lashley are stuck on this King/US thing, JBL broke his back.... They have nobody for him to go up against that's a credible contender. The only option they've had is to displey the giant freaks and pummel the champ.

They should've thought about that before they put the title on Rey don't you think, afterlife?

It's more that they're booking him against these guys that bothers me. Sure, once or twice is okay, but taking a guy who's not believable as champ, slaughtering him every week, and then having him retain at PPVs? That's fucking stupid. It is very literally the worst of both worlds.

Sabu should have won

Maybe he should join the Spirit Squad. Then he wouldn't have to worry about those annoying title defenses.

Yea, Sabu should have won the WHT and have that converted to the ECW title. Edge could have beat him in a feud and took the title, and a maineventer to smackdown. or something geez. Rey as a Worls champion is just stupid as booking, especially with the state of smackdown now. Having the big guys squash him makes sense, but i fucking guarentee you that if he wasn't champion those guys would have still beat him, so why give him this novelty run, just because he is over? give me a break, Booker T is over, and has been for years. Oh well, rey is better than Orton.

Yeah, but...by the look of it, they did. I mean, he's an incredibly popular guy, especially for a cruiser. And he's currently one of the healthiest 'big names' on the roster. Like I said, if they'd put the title on anyone else, they'd either relinquish it due to injury or because of a brand switch/vacation. It's not like they have many options right now.
And it's not my intention to defend the booking; I'm just trying to make the situation understood: as far as I can see, they have nowhere else to go.
