Sure. I'm impressed. Better than the other shit WWE can pull out.

The "new" DX is better than most everything else WWE RAW/SD has to offer. Nothing can compare to when they first came out b/c it was real and their were genuine motives behind it. The antics they did then are unbelievably funny. Who knows they might surprise us...it only Week 1!

As much as I enjoy seeing DX back together, it seems a bit contrived. Between this and half of TNA's roster I feel like I'm back in the 90s.

I enjoyed them tonight, but I don't know how many weeks they will be able to pull off the same stunts before the nostalga runs out.

I enjoyed the slime and a few other things. I didn't really enjoy them acting like teenagers though. They sure put a lot of effrot into spray painting the wall the threw Coach through.

So overall unsure.

What page of the RAW thread was it being mentioned? I just want to see people's reactions.

It's alot better than everything else on RAW. Period.

Thus, I'm impressed. I'm amazed, actually, that the people presently in charge with the state of mind they have can set up something that does NOT make me wretch. It's like, y'know...when a mentally handicapped kid with a straight F record for the last two years brings home a Report Card with at least one B on it. Yeah, it's just a B...but for that kid? Impressive.

While the concept of reuniting DX irked the hell out of me at first, I have to admit that I was indeed quite entertained. I did laugh aloud several times.

The interaction between Hunter and Shawn is fun, since they've got chemistry and are obviously having fun.

But, come on, two 40 year olds spray painting a guy's ass? :|

Yesterday's RAW was one of the best Raws I've seen in ages. It was amazing. I laughed at Coach, I laughed at their antics in the ring at the end. Everything about it was awesome. I won't say it was better than the original because this one is only a week old, but I definately enjoyed it. Can't wait for more.

As of right now, they are enjoyable. As long as they can keep their shennanigans fresh, i'll continue being interested.

It will be ok. It will never be the original because original DX had pill popping coked up HBK, who didn't care about anything.

Yeah thats kinda the same thing I was thinking. I like the fact that these two are together as they work well together.

But it does seem werid two 40 years are doing all this childish stuff.

And alot of thier pranks where abosolute crap. I mean green slime. Cmon

Yeah, Michaels blindfolding himself over cheerleaders? Gay. What the fuck is up with Christians being too stupid to distinguish between a character and their life? Michaels will never be all over the place like he used to be.

I liked the slime. Not so much the slime as much as them humiliating someone like that. It's a classic "gotcha."

They weren't spring chickens the first time around, either. Especially their sidekicks, who looked like they were even older than they really are (Waltman acting like a teenager=Waltman looking like a 60 year old man).

Well, for the sake of continuity, Val Venis would make a decent third member of DX IMO. Just for the fact that Spirit Squad are the ones that further injured his elbow and have put him out of action. He can be pretty money on the mic.

DX firstly was always overrated.

Secondly, I've seen some people going omg, it's vintage DX!! which is BS. DX werent always trying to go out and be funny. They were just rebelling in a time when that seemed perhaps plausible. Now everything has been done, and I'm watching a reborn christian very much wattered down, and a guy in HHH who is married to the boss' daughter, and I cant help but think of that when I see them do this immature shit that they are way past now, 40 year olds acting like they are 20.

They pushed too hard last night to make DX FUNNY. DX isnt funny, they are lewd. But they lost that, because the characters are much different now then they used to be. It comes off contrived.

i dont have a problem with their age really...

I mean how old was Hogan when he was running around spray painting people in the NWO?

I dont feel DX was ever overrated...They were a very popular group and certainly helped add to the ratings and both HHH and HBK could put on good matches.

I dont care if they are trying to be funny if they are entertaining and last night I found them very entertaining. Plus, for all the HHH and HBK haters out there, its keeping them out of the title scene for everyone who wants to see new champions like the RVD's out there.

Nothing shocks the wrestling world anymore. We've seen necrophilia angles, "I want to rape your black honky wife" angles, a gay marriage angle, and Chris Masters.

Shawn and Hunter should ejaculate on each member of the Spirit Squad. That'd be some good, shocking, DX-BABY! entertainment.

On the contrary, by being in this DX IS BACK angle, HHH and HBK are actually hogging the main event spotlight on every episode of RAW, very much taking away from guys like RVD, Edge and John Cena, who are, arguably, much more entertaining as a whole.

It's the Benoit/Overshadow theory.

I didnt say main event...I was careful not to say main event...i said Title scene...Plus...the RVD/Cena title scene you are now getting twice a week on Raw and ECW, so they are getting plenty of exposure as well while WWE tries to build up the new brand.

Plus, although the SS guys are probably not going to get over, they are young and getting to work matches with two top performers should at least help them develop in-ring.

I seem to recall titles being held by DX in the past.

Also, with the ME scene being eaten up between the Suck Squad and Degeneration X, it's harder to develop new champions...

:wtf:
Cena more entertaining than DX?
I repeat, :wtf:

I enjoyed last nights Raw more than John Cena's title reign combined, so I beg to disagree... and Cena has hardly been out of the spotlight or main events. Did you forget last week's Raw for example? Or maybe the last 10,000 PPV's? I think the fact that there's an up coming PPV that doesn't include John Cena in the main event/title match is a breath of fresh air that WWE needs. It's finally given Raw back an element of unpredictability, which is what it needed desperately.

Besides, RVD, Edge and Cena are getting multiple spotlights on 2 different shows, so you do the math. As much as I hate the Spirit Load getting this much airtime, they have served a necessary purpose in an angle that I think has been brought along quite nicely...and that's the DX reunion. There had to have been motive for HHH/HBK to need each other again and that has been accomplished. But if you'd prefer having every goddamn episode of Raw finish with Cena overcoming the odds in the main event/spotlight, then that's your personal choice...but thank god that time has come to an end.

Yes, obviously DX has had titles in the past...thats completely off point and not what I said...they dont have titles now...nor are they currently competing for titles.

You have segments on Raw that are promoting Cena-RVD-Edge for the title as well as a good portion of ECW devoted to that angle.

You have a good 3 way going for the IC title between Shelt-Carlito-Nitro

You have Orton and Angle getting time apiece on Raw and ECW

I dunno....im ok with it.

It looked far too contrived and my fears about it were confirmed.

Although I did find Trips' comment about the stud that knocked up Steph, as Kevin Nash would say "LOL we're laughing out loud!"

I liked it. Wrestling is getting interesting again.

Vengeance looks like the best WWE ppv in a LONG time. It is such a solid card it's unbelievable. I don't really know what else to say, it is looking like the WWF.

I really did like them playing with Shawns "religious obligations" making it seem rather funny. It was alot of old DX jokes and such, but honestly, If they turn up the intensity it could compare to the old days. Although nothing can compare to Coked-Up HBK. Seriously, he was the man when he was shooting more snow up his nose than a husky.

I loved it, but I found myself not believing that HHH and HBK came up with the stuff. Like vince's dressing room, it was obviovs that those guys did not paint the room. and the slime, that just bleeds creative team. but i couldn't help but to think, "DX would work SOO much better with a third member, a man called KEVIN NASH!!"

Currently. Unless you are a WWE writer and can guarantee me that this will not change, that's moot.

DX in the main event takes away from the champions.

I'm glad you said this, not me. :D

I agree with you. Venis is well-liked backstage, so it wouldn't be unrealistic, plus you know Vince just loves the character (Venis has changed character from porn star to serious competitor, to censor, to porn star/serious competitor, to porn star, to management suck-up, to porn star). Venis is still able to go, why not?

Throw in Matt Striker, who can talk about how our daughters...and sons, were always offering him sex for good grades. Put Victoria and Candice Michelle in there as the serious women's wrestler and as the eye-candy hanging off Triple H and Val Venis respectively. Johnny Swinger could also fit in there as well.

I'm still hoping that Vince seperates the two mega-powers of DX. Have him send Shawn Michaels to SmackDown!, where they can form a kind of "DX Blue" on Smackers. So when it is all said and done, DX looks like this:

RAW:
Triple H- WWE Title contender
Val Venis- IC Title contender
Victoria- W Title contender
Matt Striker- TT contender
Johnny Swinger- TT contender
Candice Michelle- Valet

SmackDown!:
Shawn Michaels- World Title contender
Paul London- TT Title contender
Brian Kendrick- TT Title contender
Jillian Hall- Manager

WWE using talent? Nah, never.

Mr. Nerfect

And if you want to get perfect balance, add Matt Hardy and Ashley Massaro to SmackDown!'s DX.

If you have so many DX-affiliated people on the two shows, then it waters down DX, much like the NWO before it.

Anyway, if you do start a SmackDown version of DX, why not an X-Pac-led ECW version too?

My main problem with DX is where is their motivation? Just because they're buddies again, super-serious HHH and HBK suddenly become fun-loving, childish pranksters overnight??? There is no storyline explanation for this turn of events.

And what's more, the spiel-reeling, catchphrase churning, crowd interaction, fun loving DX never involved Shawn Michaels anyway. The original DX, with HHH and HBK, were an antagonistic and obnoxious group. They are currently being portrayed more as the HHH-led DX of 1998, when Michaels was long gone from the group.

Not that it REALLY matters, it just shows that either the WWE has short memories indeed, or that they simply don't respect those who DO remember the events of back in the day. I'm leaning towards the latter because, seeing a 10 year old(ish) kid in the audience throwing crotch chops on Raw, I thought to myself "you must have been a toddler when the original DX was around". WWE can rewrite history as much as it wants because we are the minority... the majority, the casual fans, are either too young to remember or don't care enough to notice the difference.
