I got it and I like it.
It's worth buying if you enjoy the management aspects of football games.

They took a potential mode in a footbal game and made it a seperate IP. EA continues to insult the masses.
What if Bungie sold Halo 2's multiplayer as a seperate game to the single player? People would riot.

My understanding is that this goes more in-depth than a "mode" could want to.

Not really 98% of the people who bought Halo 2 hated the single player.

More like 82%
Still, that doesn't make a freakin NFL Coaching game a good idea. Why didn't it get tacked on 360's Madden? Makes sense to me.
I'm a huge Soul Calibur fan; but I'd feel like a dick buying something that could've been added to the game. Hell, like MKD, that game went beyond conventions to stuff itself with features.
Do NOT fall for this one. EA knows they're about to called out on wasting NFL exclusivity when '07 reveals them for the dicks they are, so now they're trying to hit all bases with some school project. I know there's alot of football fans who'll say, "Well football's a complicated sport and coaching alone is a game in itself." But let's not over-sell it here... A whole game?!?
I suppose it's novelty at best. Some people here wonder why I like DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi so much, saying it's just another DBZ game. Maybe. But it's a different game than Budokai 3, and the purchase is warranted. I promise this coaching game will end up in Madden 08 with pretty phrases like, "It's awesome how we fit this seperate game into this year's Madden..." and shit like that. You read it here first. And I'm not above bumping old threads to say 'I told you so'.
