View Full Version : Does WWECW suck?

From reading the results it seems like it sucks, seeing how it's all WWE wresters. Does the bigger ring and different ropes make a difference to the feel? I suspect being at a smackdown show makes it feel crappy. Two shows in, what's the verdict?

Right now it is not that good, but it's just starting out.
I think eventually it will be good.
The first one was horrendous, but the second one, I would say was better than their RAW and SmackDown! brands. More focus on wrestling and less on sports entertainment (aside from Sandman's angle, which is taking a shot at Sports Entertainment anyway).

Does the ring size and rope type make a difference

I'll make judgement after vengence.

^^ Same here Savior.
I think the logic here at the moment is that they're using WWE wrestlers to try and get WWE fans interested in ECW, aswell as to promote Vengeance. Aslong as its only a temporary idea then its a smart move, but they have to stop it after vengeance so it actually feels like ECW is back. Right now it seems like another WWE show. Hardly what I was hoping for when Vince said it would be an 'alternative'.

Yeah, left out a few there. :shifty:

I think Sabu has the potential to come out of this whole thing as a BIG star.

But yeah, WWECW is too new to really comment. So far, it seems like it is HIT or MISS.

Spoken like a BAD APPLE. ECW is UNACCEPTABLE! And even though I watch it every week and fap to John Cena's INNOVATIVE acts in-ring, I CAN'T STAND ECW.

Oh, ECW does suck. It might get better, but the question wasn't "Will ECW suck in the future?"
It sucks. This is Extremely Crappy Wrestling. And to be honest, I'd probably like it more, but even the non-invasion stuff reeks of sports entertainment.

That joke has seriously run its course.

Jeff Jarrett is MAKE IT OR BREAK IT for TNA!
You guys HAVE to stop using that joke. It's MAKE IT OR BREAK IT for the TPWW.net forums! If you don't, things are going to get VERY VERY EXTREEEEMMME!

Yeah I argee with this. I really think Sabu being in the WWE here is going to be his most profitable run.
Also I didn't think I would ever say this since I became a smark, but since Sabu has come to the WWE I love him. I liked him as a kid growing up then as I got older hated him. I did not like him in TNA, but now seeing Sabu in WWECW has rekindle my love for him or something. I'm excited to see Sabu.
Also that Triple jump springboard guillotine legdrop on Cena Monday was absolutely beautiful.

It feels like velocity. And a lot of the ecw guys kinda feel like lower-midcard guys. They should brought back dreamer and other big names earlier, to re-establish who they were in ecw.
Sabu looks broke, and will never be the same without fonzy.
Dreamer is a shell of what he used to be, thanks to wwe burying him.
Sandman actually looks like he is in the best shape of his life, and they've got him in squash matches. Although I'll give them a little slack since it's an hour long show.
The biggest problem is the very small roster. Most of the rest actually were lower midcard wrestlers in ecw.

Considering how hard he must have worked to get into shape, squash matches seem a shit way to reward him. Especially in such a gay angle. OH LOOK WE'RE RIPPING ON SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT WE'RE SO COOL!

I'm hoping that the eventual payoff will be a new wrestler debuting as one of the "gimmicks," then going off on Sandman when he tries to squash them. I was hoping that's where they were going when he caned Eugene at ONS, but noooooooooooo.

Wouldn't it be awesome to see Eugene just snap and say "I'm tired of this shit?"

If they were gonna do that it woulda been done at ONS.
Methinks Nic Dinsmore will forever be Eugene. :(
