For the first time ever I actually laughed at some of the stuff JBL was saying tonight.

"That'll knock you right out of your sisters pants"

JBL has been the man since he went to the gimmick.

I think I'm the only one who can't stand JBL on commentary. Maybe it's just his terrible chemistry with Michael Cole, but I tried watching Smackdown! for the first time in months last week, and partly because of a drunk midget under the ring; partly because of the lack of real stars; partly because of Mark fat ass Henry; but mostly I turned off the TV because JBL annoys the shit out of me.

His radio show is great, no doubt about that, but he doesn't belong behind the desk calling matches.

yeah he is great, was funny when little bastard came from the ring and chucked him a can of guinness lol.
JBL said something funny after that but i can't remember what it was

I've really been loving his commentary. I feel Smackdown as a whole has been pretty good as of late, and his commentary makes it even better.

Lol JBL was gold last night. He happens to be a huge fan of the world cup too. The funniest part last night though was:

JBL: Hey, I'm going to the world cup this weekend!

Cole: What, Germany are letting you back in their country?!

JBL: Well I did have a few issues there a while back.

*Both giggle*

JBL: And it wasn't funny either by the way!

Or something along those lines anyway.

JBL will be really good once he gets out of his wrestler mode of putting himself over and going to cheap heat all the time.

JBL is a fantastic commentator. He puts over the smaller guys really well. Just listen to him talk about Gregory Helms, Matt Hardy, Paul London and Brian Kendrick. Hopefully he stays in the booth.

Well he never had any interest in putting them over when he was active, so why not do it now? Seriously though, he does do a fantastic job of making these guys seem like more then glorified lower-midcarders.

I enjoy is commentary a lot too. I think him and Cole will eventually make for a VERY entertaining duo.

I was just thinking about when he first won the title...and all throughout most of 2004...how EVERYONE hated his guts. Now it is the complete opposite.

To be honest, the first few weeks of JBL as commentary were crap. He was overdoing his character, talking nonstop, and usually about irrelevant things. But Friday, I must admit, he was very good. I dunno if someone told him to tone it down, but he did and it made the show more watchable.

I'm really enjoying JBL on commentary as well. Alot of funny comments like the old Bradshaw use to do. Besides always putting himself over, I really like JBL on commentary.
