From prowrestling.com

Kurt Angle is currently scheduled to take a hiatus from WWE very soon as he was overheard telling many wrestlers at recent TV and PPV tapings this past week that he would be doing so. Although it was initially believed to be related to nagging injuries for his time off, others have said that Angle wants to deal with some personal issues as well. So, the only thing known right now is that it is a mixture of both for his reason to take time off. This is certainly a big blow to the ECW brand as Angle has been its main focus for the last three weeks.

I think this is huge, as it looks ECW is losing one of it's biggest stars even before he gets to start. Thoughts?

Glad he is resting, but why job him out before he goes. I guess to make sure he comes back, but I don't understand why they moved him knowing he was taking time off. It would have been better if he left after Wrestlemania then came to ECW as a suprise.

They're doing everything they can to kill ECW. :shifty:

Actually, they COULD take this opportunity to put over someone in ECW by having that said ECWer "injure" Angle, but more than likely, they'll make Orton do it. :nono:

Great news for ECW.

Maybe then they can move onto a nice RVD-Sabu feud.

Has RVD even fought a single actual ECW guy since this whole thing began? He fought Cena, got speared by Edge, fought Edge and Orton, then fought Angle, and he's fighting Edge next Tuesday. Nope, I guess not.

ECW isn't meant to have stars. He'll probably come back on Raw, like everyone else does.

Angle does deserve some time off. I actually thought he was taking time off a couple months ago, but then he returned at Judgment Day around 2 weeks later.

^^Haha.

This couldn't have been worse timing really, just as soon as ECW starts up Angle takes time off, but I saw it coming. Just makes it pointless that if they kenw this was happening why draft him to ECW in the first place? What great logic the writers have......

No, I too read something about Angle being suspended, but that the reasons haven't been made public by WWE officials.

It was covered in a short blurb in one of this week's PWInsider elite shows. What Pepsi Man said is basically all that was said.

He's suspended because he wants to go to UFC
