It feels like they are a watered down version of their former selves. Shawn Michaels is still funny but he seems somewhat dis-interested in this whole deal. I don't think HHH likes it much either. I mean back in 97 it was great for him to ride with the big boys but since then he had headlined wrestlemainia's etc.
If i were to book DX I'd have them fuck up ECW - just show up and cause shit..instead of fighting cheerleaders :nono: and this midget shit is so 90's.
Imagine Then coming to the ring during (yet another) Cena VS Van Dam match...fuck van dam up..then beat the holy shit out of Cena (dedicate the beating to tpww.net) then light the ring on fire. I'd buy that for a dollar!
DX should do some damage not fuck around with cheerleaders and midgets.
Nostalgia only goes so far..ask ric flair!
interesting side note: A writer for the WWE used to write for "late night with conan o' Brien". During a production meeting Conan told a writer "why don't you have a big glass of shut up juice"..sound familiar? the rock got the honors for using the line.

The new DX seems a little forced to me. The big difference between the original DX and DX v.3 is that Triple H is probably the flagship, instead of HBK. I was actually a little surprised by the fact that I was mildly entertained when Candice got in on the DX fun on RAW...I think that might have potential.
Otherwise, meh. I'm not sure how I feel about them at the moment.

Is the new DX as good as I remember the old DX to be? No. Then again, when DX was first on the scene, I was looking for different things, so their childish skits might wear on me today just as well.

Some of thier new stuff is funny like with the Microphone, Coach getting put through a wall, but that ECW idea is golden.

I'm finding it kinda funny but they're running it into the ground by having them in every segment and having stuff like the microphone skit with Vince take up way too much time.

I'd take this DX over no DX.

Even if they piss away the reputation DX had (and turn them into WWE segment fillers)?

HBK found Jesus, so he wont do anything like back in the day.

Yes they will. They'll just find little ways to get HBK out of there.
"Hey, isn't that Mr. Fuji?"
LOL, I found that Mr. Fuji thing hilarious for some reason.

Its not as good but its better than 99 percent of the other storylines and segments happening right now.
Yeah. It's not the original DX, but it's still funny as hell.
I hope they interrupt the Diva's Segment EVERY WEEK. At least then I'd have a reason to watch it.

Triple H coming across as the leader most of the time is getting to me. But other then that - I'm enjoying it.

The new dx is lame.
Its kinda werid seeing two grown men pulling pranks that are too childish even for most 12 year old kids.
Its even worse to see two grown men acting like teenagers.

I really wish they would push it. I think that was the whole purpose of DX, wasn't it? To bend the rules as far as they would go? Have them use footage of September 11 in their entrance video. Offencive? Yes. Tasteless? Yes. Potentially damaging? Yes. But controversial and an image of not giving a fuck? Yes.
I feel so dirty suggesting that, which is why I think it will work and go well with their image. Fuck this naughty kids at recess shit.
And why have them only hang around on RAW? Have them go to SmackDown!, as well. I know, I know, "you'll never seen Triple H or HBK on SmackDown!", but if they are the stars of both shows, they get to be in a unique position. It would help SmackDown! as well, even if HBK and Triple H point out the fact that it is taped.
I can just imagine them now:
SHAWN MICHAELS: Friday Night SmackDown!? But...but...my calender says Tuesday!
TRIPLE H: Woah! Mizark is a main eventer here! This place is nuts.
SHAWN MICHAELS: So this is where John Cena and The Boogeyman were born...
*Great Khali walks past*
TRIPLE H: Ladies and gentlemen...SANJAY! Hehe...The Giant!
*In Theodore Long's office*
THEODORE LONG: Watchya doing here DX?
TRIPLE H: Well Teddy, you see...
SHAWN MICHAELS: *whispering, taunting Teddy Long* Doom! Doom!
TRIPLE H: We just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Is Rey Mysterio really World Champion?
SHAWN MICHAELS: You know, he beat me once...
TRIPLE H: *turns to Shawn Michaels* How embarassing for you.
THEODORE LONG: If one of you playas wants a match with Rey Mysterio, I'm sure the Champ would be more than obliged.
SHAWN MICHAELS: Hold the phone...Paul London & Brian Kendrick are WWE Tag Team Champions?
THEODORE LONG: Yes...
SHAWN MICHAELS: Never heard of them.
THEODORE LONG: If you want to face the Tag Champs...
SHAWN MICHAELS: You know, I taught them everything they know, except how to do the Triple Backflip Corkscrew Phoenix Splash. I saved that one for the next time I face Hulk Hogan.
TRIPLE H: Is it true this segment will likely be censored and editted?
SHAWN MICHAELS: You know, I believe it is...
TRIPLE H: $*#@ this $#%$! Why the %^@$ are we even in this *$#@hole then? I could be out $%*#ing Ste*^@^!#! $%#^!
SHAWN MICHAELS: This better make it to the air, and better not be replaced with ten minutes of The Miz saying "Hoorah!".
TRIPLE H: C'mon Shawn. I want to go see Kennedy repeat his name.
SHAWN MICHAELS: So long...
*pops back in* .....forgot my car keys.

Randy Orton would fucking own in DX. I mean his persona is what DX should be.
And Alenoid is a fucking pimp. :y:

Considering that 10 years have passed, I'm having trouble buying them as degenerates. Especially since one of them is balding.
Another thing to consider is the period in wrestling that the original DX was a part of. When Dx first came onto the scene, no one outside of the ecw fan base had seen the kind of stuff they were doing. It was edgy. Controversial. Shocking. But now, the stuff they do is funny, but it's nothing we havn't seen before, so it can't possibly live up to the original.
If anything, they should put together a few newer young stars to form a new dx. With the purpose of destroying the old, for the reason I listed above. Orton, Carlito, and Benjamin would work pretty well, imo.

I found it funny the first time around. But maybe because I had seen everything shocking on other TV networks.

I think the shock factor in "sports entertainment" is gone. Unless legitimate competition sprung up the WWE is going to continue to suck and not think of anything new. DX is fun, that's it. There's nothing serious there.

to answer the question in 2 two words: NO WAY!
Why: because, i remeber the old dx. like stickman said, the shock factor's gone. it saddens me to have to see DX's Rep being ruined. neg rate me all you want, but i'm saying it now: DX was dead, and it should have stayed that way. No Offense to any DX fans, but look at what WWE has become.... hell look at ECW! I'm a HUGE ECW fan from back in the 90's, i don't like what happening. Ecw as a wrestling promotion was dead and forgoten, to be brought out once a year. that how i liked it. the memories of the old ecw being remembered... now, ecw has become nothing but a toy to vince. and now that i've gone completely off topic, i shall end it here.

Is new DX as good as the old? No, because the novelty is gone. Just like everyone's pretty much said.
But they're the most entertaining thing on WWE programming right now, so I don't mind one bit.
